MYW- good idea or not?

Has anyone used the MYW dinner plan or is going to add the MYW dinner plan to your land and sea package? Just would like to know if you think its a good idea?

MYW- is Magic Your Way- dinning. As of Jan.2005 you can now add on dinning packages when you visit WDW.
I was asking if anyone has done this with the land part of Land and Sea Cruise. Just wondered if anyone thought it was a good idea.

I've asked 3 different CM's if we could add it to the land portion of our trip and have been told NO...it's not possible. I wish we could add it. If anyone has been able to do it, I'd love to hear about it.

I hadn't asked my TA yet. I thought you could considering that we are going to be on the land part for a few days Thats a bummer to think that we can't.
We are going in May too!

Can you add it if you make up your own land/sea package? Stay 3/4 days at WDW at the resort of your choice, then take a 3/4-day cruise after that...

I would think you could add it if you purchased the package separately. But...for this particular time period the land/sea package was over $800 less than doing it separately...so I opted for the package.

They've even let us add on an additional day to our land stay (room and ticket) but...they won't add the dining.

I bet the way the DCL land sea ressies system is set up is why they can't add MYW dining to it.

I can't see Disney turning down someone wanting a dining plan as I know they make money off of them. I would ask at checkin if you could add it. Don't try before hand....just ask them when you get to the resort. I would be very surprised if they did not let you.

I didn't use MYW diner because for 2 of us, it added darn near $300 to my total. I decided to pack goodies into a suitcase and we would get probably 50-60% of our "meals" that way.

I figure we will still have to spend some money on dining, but not $300. Course, we are a junk food loving family, (chips, poptarts, cookies, etc) so we can exist for 3 days on that stuff and walk it off in the parks. LOL
