The new tickets encourage people to buy non-hopper tickets (how many people hop more than 50% of their park admissions).

Evening magic hours are huge draw for resort guests.

What's this mean? The evening magic hour park is are going to be super crammed all day long.

Thoughts?

I agree, especially w/ MK. I think I will continue to follow my strategy to avoig EMH parks if at all possible.

I think that's a really valid point OCDisney. I'll be avoiding the EMH parks like the plague....

Didn't think of that. I'm not sure when we'll get back to WDW after this trip, so I'm not sure what kind of tickets I'll be getting. I was thinking the non-park hopper was a good deal, but this gives me more to think about. Of course, if I just go with the annual pass, I don't have to worry about it.

Absolutely, and without a doubt. Zagging rather than zigging will pay off even more handsomely than before. Furthermore, with more guests trained to stay in the parks late rather than show up early, us earlybirds will be repaid even more handsomely. After all, what resort guest is going to make rope drop on a Thursday morning after Wednesday night MK EMH?

Honestly, I don't think that the early morning people will make out better vs. the late night people. I think you're either one or the other. In all of our vacations to WDW, never once did we get up do to the early morning entry. We always went out of our way to avoid that park because we're not morning people.

I'll definitely have to memorize the new late night/early morning schedule so I can avoid that park on that day.

I am thinking this will work to the advantage of those of us here who know when to go with, and when to go against, the flow. We have always park hopped most, if not all, days using the major parks---at least since AK opened. I do not mind at all knowing that a large amount of users are limited to a specific park when I will be free to go to another. :cool1:

I've beem thinking the same thing. I will most definitely pay for the hopping option when we go in June. It will be our first time on site and I want to be able to do what I want when I want to do it. I can say that I'm SO glad I have time to read the DIS and find out more as this new system begins! Very interesting....

dvcgirl: sorry, I wasn't clear. I also avoid EMH parks like the plague. But, since I have youngins, we are at the parks bright and early, take naps mid day, and are headed back to "home" by 8 or 9 at the latest.
