MYW dining plan include desert for breakfast?

I know this was posted somewhere but I can't find it. Does the CS dining credit include a desert with breakfast? Trying to stretch my breakfast CS credits.

We just got back and was told no dessert with breakfast. It may be different in 06 but we were there Dec 05.

Call the number dining reservation number, they can give you the most accurate information.

We were at the POP in September and the cs credits DID include dessert. Hope it works out the same for you!

We ate breakfast our last morning there as we had CS credits left and we got to pick a dessert from the bakery section at the ASMO food court. I got a HUGE cinnamon roll..IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!

DH got some type of fruit filled danish and DD got a brownie..We ate them in the car on the way back home!!!

we were there in sept and also were able to get "dessert" w/breakfast (which in our case was usually a bagel which made three breakfasts stretch for four people) but since i've been back i read here and on other sites (i.e. mousesavers) that dessert is no longer included... total bummer, imo...

The "official" literature I have seen now says "except breakfast" after dessert.

We got fruit as dessert when we were there in Oct for breakfast. Maybe it's changed.

Too bad. I was really looking forward to sharing breakfast with DH....he loves those cinammon rolls. Last summer we were able to get dessert.

we got a "2006 dining plan" postcard in the mail and it says:

Recently you requested and should have received a Walt Disney World Vacation Planning Kit. This postcard is to inform you of an important update concerning teh Disney Dining Plan that is described in the Vacation Planning Guide and on the Vacation Planning CD-ROM.

I recieved the same postcard this week.

When we used the dining plan last April, we were able to get a dessert(fruit cup) with breakfast. We won't be able to do so when we return this April.

I'm planning to pay cash for counter service breakfast and use the CS credits for lunch or dinner.

i'm planning to pay cash for the "dessert" which helped stretch our breakfasts (i.e. i'll buy the extra bagel so dd and i can split a breakfast platter) last time... we'll still all four be able to eat for 3 CS credits and a couple of bucks!

Thanks for your idea. Never thought of just buying a bagel...I wonder if I could use get one for a snack credit. I'll be staying at All Star Movies and going to the food court for breakfast. I heard they're really helpful about helping you use your meal plan if you ask.

Does the "no dessert with breakfast" change bother anyone else? I don't get it. You can get a nice huge dessert included if you get a counter service lunch or dinner, but NOT if you get a counter service breakfast? Why not? I just think it's tacky on Disney's part. Just my opinion.

I usually don't have dessert when I have breakfast at home. I don't when I'm on vacation either. I don't think it's "tacky" of Disney, I just think it fits with the way more people eat. People are more likely to have dessert at lunch or dinner, or both, than to have dessert with breakfast. So they just followed that demand.

I read on another board that the "breakfast not included" was incorrect and that Disney will be making changes to reflect the error. How true this is, I do not know. It WOULD be nice to be able to get a "dessert" with breakfast..meaning a bagel, fruit cup, yogurt, etc. Because you could feed a toddler with that as well and besides it shouldn't matter if it's breakfast or lunch..if you are able to get it with lunch then you should be able to get it with breakfast too!

We checked into Pop on Oct. 14, 2005. We were allowed to get fruit as "dessert" with breakfast each day BUT...
Effective with check-ins on or after Oct. 15 they were enforcing NO dessert with breakfast. Because we checked in the day before we were sort of grandfathered in.

The dining plan literature on the Disney site has said for MONTHS that in 2006 there would be NO dessert with breakfast. We'll pay out of pocket for fruit next trip, but we won't each get our own $3 fruit cup like we did when it was covered by the plan! DS usually got grapes and had enough left over for a snack later (we just carried the little plastic container into the parks), and DH and I each got a bowl of melon. Next time we'll just get 1 or 2 fruit cups and share.

I don't know WHY they changed it, but maybe it had something to do with the fact that people will be willing to pay to add on fruit in the morning? If they told me "no cake with counter service lunch" I would just skip the cake, but the fruit in the morning is something I won't skip!

It could also be that the cake or cookie that doesn't cost Disney much at lunch is less expensive that the fruit cups, big cinammon roll, etc that they have for breakfast.

I plan to bring food with us for breakfast. We can get by on some cereal, oatmeal, etc in our room. Then we'll eat an early lunch and dinner. We have a couple of PS's for breakfast.

Maybe once we'll try eating breakfast with the CS credit and can then report back what exactly WDW is allowing.

Does anyone know exactly what drinks are allowed at breakfast for the drink portion of the CS breakfast? I'll have refillable mugs for coffee, but can we get milk or OJ with the breakfast?

DS got milk for breakfast every day, and I want to say there was one morning that I had orange juice. We didn't do mugs in October so DH and I usually had coffee with breakfast on the plan. We thought the plan was great - no surprise exclusions or anything. I had one cashier at Pop get a little snippy with me about a bag of snack mix I was paying CASH for - she was very quick to tell me it was NOT on the plan. Other than that we had great experiences.
