MYW Dining Package Questions

We'll be staying at Pop or All-Stars. We aren't very big eaters either. And yes your basic itinerary works! Man do I love these message boards. Thanks!

Do a search on MYW dining reviews. There has been great success using the plan at Pop.

Morning All! This is my first post, so I hope I do it all right. We are using the dining plan in 6 days. It is just 2 adults this trip. We are planning on doing the Hoop-Dee-Do-Review while we are there. We thought that we would share some of our sit down meals so that we could make the credits go further. With a family of 4 you could order only 3 meals each time and share them. This way you wouldn't have to much food, and your credits would go further. Just remember to add an extra tip for the kindness of your server to split up the meals. The meal spliting could also apply to counter service meals. To really make this work think outside of the box. We think it is well worth the money. I will post how it really worked when we get back.

If your not going until 2008 you should come over to the rewards board. There's a great email/shopping site called mypoints.com you can "cash out" for different rewards. RFC is included. I just cashed out again for (3) $25.00 gift cards to use at RFC this August. Its a great program.

Thanks. I am a member of mypoints but didn't know that RFC was listed. I always get a Walmart card. How long is the giftcard good for?

I didn't know if getting the 35.00 plan was worth it if I wanted to eat somewhere not on the list for one or two times. Also, what are the signature restaurants that require 2 dinner swipes? Maybe I could eat there to use up the extra.

My son and I are here now. I booked the dining for this trip, but I'm not so sure I'll do it again.

The plan includes ALOT of food. We just can't/won't eat that much. Our server at Sci-Fi got an attitude yeseterday when I told her we weren't ordering dessert.cm

Later my son said he wanted one, so we got the cheesecake. More than half of it was wasted. Before giving me the check, the CM asked if we wanted to take two sodas with us. (We both had milk shakes with lunch) We both took a few sips of soda before tossing them into the trash.

I think our CM was trying to get a large tip,she could care less about the amount of food we'd end up wasting.

Monday we had dinner at WCC. After having a few nachos and wings, we couldn't even finish one skillet let alone a dessert. :rotfl:

We leave on Saturday and I still have 9 counter service, 10 snack, and 5 table service coupons left.

I'll share more info about the plan and our meals when I get home on Saturday.

If I use the plan again, I think I'll plan meals at places that require two table service coupons. That way we won't feel like we're stuffing ourselves each day.

I have a couple of questions. 1) Do you have to buy the dining plan for your entire stay if you do the MYW with dining? The reason I am asking is we are going to go to SW and Universal for a few days of our trip and won't be eating at Disney on those days. 2) Does anyone know what the daily cost of the plan is for adults and kids? We are going from Dec 2-10, 2005, 7 adults and 1 child are want to know if it is worth it..

Thanks for your help

Well you will get more "value" for your points if you use them to cash out for RFC. A RFC $25.00 card = 3,250 points Walmart $10.00 = 1,500

I'm looking at the GC now. There is no expiration date on it but on the back it says "After 12 months of non-use a $1.50 per month administrative fee will be deducted from your remaining card balance."

You could go to disney's web site for a list but the additional restaurants have not been added yet. You could also use the extra to see a show (2) or have a character breakfast.

$35 per Adult
$10 per child (3-9)

Includes tax & tip.

The dining plan coordinates with the number of nights booked at the WDW resort. You cannot choose a lesser number of MYW dining days. 7 nights = 7 days of My Way dining. You could however, split your stay with two reservations and only get the dining for one ressie.
