MYW Dining & Fantasmic Dinner Package

We have a Fantasmic Dinner Package booked at H&V, can we use our MYW dining to pay for it? I held the package with my AMEX, but will they let me pay for the meal with the Dining Plan?

The "official" line is no.

There have been reports by others who have been successful in paying for their FDP with their MYW Dining. Until Disney says otherwise - I would not go in with the expectation that you can.

I was just speaking to my travel agency about this yesterday.

We were talking about some of my PS's and dinner show ressies and he informed me that 'yes, you can use your MYW dining program for the Fantasmic package' I was quite pleased with this information

Just thought I would add that I have gotten no's on this from two different CMs today. (I was calling about two different things but added that Q at the end each time hehe.)

Travel agents (even good ones) have a hard time keeping up with Disney policies. Heck, Disney itself has a hard time, LOL.

The offical answer if you call CRO will 95% of the time be "No". Same as with the DDE.

However some people have gotten servers that will allow it.

So, don't count on it, but do try - you never know, magic does happen!

I am expecting to be able to use it and this is why. When I called to make my PS, when the CM was asking the usual info at the beginning of the call (how many, where are you staying, etc), she asked if I was using the MYW dining plan and I said Yes. She was delighted, telling me what a great value it was. Then I asked for the Fantasmic Dinner PAckage at H&V. She booked it and did not say one word about it not being covered under MYW. If I hadn't seen the conflicting reports here at the DIS, I never would have had a reason to think it wasn't. I don't see how they can't let me use the package when there is obviously a lot of conflicting info floating around.

PS Another reason why I am going in expecting to use my package for my dinner is that H&V is listed as a restaurant in the brochure without any limitations listed. That's my story and I'm sticking to it LOL

That's one of the reasons why i was expecting it as well.

We were able to use the dining plan at Mama Melrose for the fantasmic package last week. We had been told no from Disney Dining, but asked our server- just in case. She said there was "No Problem"

So ask- but I guess don't be suprised if they tell you "no", since different people- different answers.

The CM didn't even ask me if I was in the dining plan....When I asked her she said it wasn't part of it.

We booked anyway and will go with the idea that we are paying for it. Let's hope WDW changes this policy before we go....after all they did add more restaurants to the plan, why not do this?

At this point I don't think it's an issue of playing dumb--there are so many conflicting reports that I will definitely ask my server at H&V if I can use the Dining Plan for my Fantasmic dinner! Never hurts to ask...
