MYW + Dining -- applying discounts later??

IF discount codes eventually become available for my trip dates, will I be able to have the discount applied to the room portion of my MYW+Dining package? I'm booked with this package through AAA now, but I'd like to know if I can get a deeper discount on our rooms and keep the MYW+Dining. (Or can you only use codes with room-only bookings?) I think I remember some folks having room-only discounts applied to their packages in past years, but I'm not certain if this is possible any longer with the new MYW.

My AAA agent said she would be more than happy to try and apply any codes I would get to my Dec reservation (Poly room, 10 day MYW tix and dining) It doesn't hurt to try.

You might want to ask your AAA agent. My understanding is that only postcard codes with pin numbers could be applied to packages, but if anyone can get a discount it's a travel agent. When I talked to a CM about applying a code to a package, I was told I couldn't do it.
