MYW and AP ticket ?

I have the MYW with free dining package for this August for 6 nights. This is a no husband trip with my GF and our kids. Yesterday my DH said he would go back this year in Nov for a couples only trip. My question is this:
Can I buy an AP and use it for my Aug and Nov trips and not activate the MYW pass and save those 6 nights? Or does it have to be activated in order for the dining package? DH already has tix he can use for the Nov trip.

You don't have to activate your MYW tickets and you can save them for another time. I've also got an AP and purchased a one-day MYW in order to get the dining when I go in September. I'll just hold onto the one-day MYW ticket and use it for a trip after my AP expires.

You could also upgrade your unused MYW ticket to an AP, instead of saving it. That would take a chunk off the cost of the AP.
