Hello :)

To eat in Mythos, can I book it somewhere in Universal on the day or do I have to call in advance like Disney?

TIA

Emily :flower3:

Unless you are going at an extremely busy time of the yr, I would suggest bookign when you arrive. We've booked a day or 2 in advance from our resort or in person. Also they usually have a sign up sheet out by 10-10:30 each AM in the lobby of the restaurant We usually just sign up on it for the time that we want.

Whwen we are there usually July, we asked about Mythos, and reservations where available on the day, there is a booking kiosk inside IOA , practically facing Cinnabon , before you go over the bridge to the Hulk. Think you should be able to make reservations at the booking kiosk in Citywalk as well.

That's what we did too - just reservations at the kiosk. And don't forget that if you're a resort guest you get priority seating too. (I'm 98% sure on this. I'm sure someone would correct me if I'm wrong.) I should go post pictures of our food on the review thread!

Thanks a lot everyone, thats put my mind at rest a bit :thumbsup2

I can't wait! Mythos looks great

xx

We went to Mythos once last year in August and three times this year in July. On all occasions we just turned up when we were ready for a meal, waited for about 15 minutes and then went in for a meal (fantastic each and every time). The restaurant wasn't full on any of the times.

Mythos is our favourite place to eat in Orlando.

At all the places we ate in Orlando,Mythos is about the best. And everytime we go there we never made ressies. The longest waight was 10min to get a seat..IOA is not WDW-no ressies needed.Thats the best part..:thumbsup2

Can you tell me what's good on the menu? I drug my hubby and 4 kids in there after finding out about the restaurant here and I wasn't particularly impressed. My soup was lukewarm and tasteless and my tempura sushi was very greasy. The kid's pizzas weren't much to look at either. I loved being able to sit down and eat in a real restaurant as opposed to counter service, though. I think I just need to know what to order!

anytime you order food and it is not correct, by seasoning or temperature, have the server take it back.

don't suffer through a meal just because it's there and you have to pay for it.

mythos is very accomadating to insure their guests are satisfied with their food.

if you are not sure if the food choice on the menu will suit you, ask your server for more information about it.
the chef can make something different and special for you if needed.

it's not been rated the top place in the past few years for nothing.....!!

mythos will make sure you have a meal to your upmost satisfaction.

i know, i had to return a plate of food once.
they bent over backwards to please me.

and then i felt like a jerk but the next plate of food was out of this world...

my favs that are still on the menu are
risotto
pad thai
chicken salad

DS's msut have is the chicken wrap. DH almost always gets the cowboy steak sandwich but sometimes gets a chicken sandwich
Ones I would love to see come back:
shrimp gnocchi
lobster stuffed potato

IMHO of couse the kids meal pizza isn't going to stand out as top knotch gourmet food, it was food preparred for a kids meal

I have had the baby spinach salad and added the chicken to it. It was delicious and I have it every time I go back. Then tried the chicken a la oscar (crab) and that was lovely too. Then had the Mythos steak (best steak we have had in Florida). It is just our favourite restaurant over there out of the ones we have tried.

My husband and sons both agree too. They have had the pasta dish, burger, wraps and salmon served on wood. We also like the fact that the meals are not the huge affairs you usually find in the US but of a size where you don't feel overly full afterwards. It is the only place I go to where I can fit in a dessert.

We are going back next month and staying on Universal so will be trying more on the Mythos restaurant.

Is there any where in the theme parks or in the tourist area of Orlando that does meals comparable to Mythos?
