I'd like to take my mom to Mythos for lunch because I think she'd really enjoy it. However is there a kids' menu for my DD7 and DS5 and I am wasting money taking my small kids to a "gourmet" restaurant. Will they enjoy the atmosphere and decor or is it really more for adults?? Dinner is out of the question because HHN will be going on and we plan to be far away from the parks by then. I'd appreciate everyone's opinion. Thanks!!

We bought our boys, ages 2 and 4, to Mythos for lunch. They did think it was neat inside and there was plenty for them on the menu. They could also watch the rides out the window which was cool.

But would they have been just as happy with a hot dog on a park bench? Probably! But then WE wouldn't have gotten to enjoy the delicious meal.

I just checked in with my DS who LOVES Mythos! He thinks the kids' desserts are the best. As for the kids meals, he's had One Fish Two Fish Ravioli (fish shaped!), and the ham and cheese wrap. This looked good enough for the adults. They have kids' pizza too and some other choices. He loves looking around at the carvings in the walls and the dragon brick oven. I let my kids go outside on Mythos patio and overlook the lagoon toward Marvel Super Hero Island. They can see the Hulk from the restaurant. I would definitely go for it. The servers are very good with kids.

Mythos is my favorite UO restaurant. Don't miss it!

I truly appreciate your suggestions, we'll make sure we include it somewhere in our visit.

Thanks a bunch!

Go. It's not gourmet to the extreme. I"m not a gourmet gal i like "real" food. This is real food with flare not fluff. Emerils is gourmet. Mythos is food kicked up a bit. The service is always great the food is fresh hot and plentiful. My kids (2 at the time) had cheesburger that came with fries and a corn on the cob. They shared there plate and loved it. The kids meals are a value really for the amount the get. I enjoy the pizza of the day with a bowl of soup. My dh has to get the fried plantans. :)

A trip to USF is NEVER over until my son and I go to MYTHOS, and that's been ever since 1999 when he was 6! Even I eat their kid's meals! They're great! :teeth:
