Mystic Dunes

Just wanted to post a quick review. We went over to Orlando for one night last week and stayed at Mystic Dunes. I was a little nervous because it get such inconsistent reviews, but figured I could handle anything for one night. I was pleasantly surprised! We had a 2 bedroom condo in building 14 overlooking the golf course. It was sparkling clean. Everything was in good working order and the beds were comfortable. We were completely exhausted after running around Typhoon Lagoon all day and really enjoyed relaxing together on the lanai! Got an activity schedule when we checked in and it seems as if there are some fun things going on every day (and of course, golf). It was very conveniently located right off of 192. Close to Disney and a bunch of stores and restaurants.

And there are many more places ,never mentioned,like Mystic Dunes.

There are hundreds of Villas for rent as well ....some for $150 per villa

per night.

We also enjoyed our stay at Mystic Dunes. Our 2 bedroom had a view of the golf course and the waterfall beyond on the other side of the lake. The lanai was lovely. It was close to mini golf and one of the pools and I remember the restaurant was a short walk and had a different buy 1 get 1 special each night. the restaurant was great and very reasonable. We could also see the bus stop that went to Disney from one of the windows. Nice and close.

Thank you for the reviews. We are thinking of a stay here over Thanksgiving as a last minute trip. Anyone else stay here and have anything to say??

I'm glad to hear a first hand review. I've been searching Orbitz for room rates and I had overlooked this resort until today. The rates for a 2 bedroom can't be beat for a short stay. The quote I got was less than $100 a night and with free wifi.

We stayed at Mystic Dunes in a 2 bedroom for a week. It was great and the accommodations were very nice.

Just checking out this morning after a fantastic 3 night stay. Like our last stay we got a 2 bedroom condo overlooking the golf course that was clean and well equipped. Took a
Little tour one afternoon and checked out all of the pools and spoke to the activities center staff. They have free mini golf, tennis and ping pong. Plus Xbox and wii. We participated in an adult mixology class on Saturday night and they were showing a family movie poolside after. The onsite restaurant Kenzies was closed Saturday night for a wedding. We were disappointed because we had planned on eating their for dinner to celebrate my parents 45th anniversary and my birthday. We told this to a lovely girl who just happened to answer the phone. A few minutes later there was a knock on our door. It was Tatiana from the restaurant bringing us a yummy platter of desserts! All in all I cannot recommend the resort enough. Every staff member we came in contact with was friendly and prepared to go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable!

We have stayed at Mystic Dunes numerous times over the past 5 years (2 bdrm), and have always had a great stay. We have run into a few minor issues over the years, but they have always been resolved in a timely manner. The grounds are beautiful and the recreational facilitates are perfect. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again or recommend it to someone else.

Can anyone tell me what stores and restaurants are located close by? We arrive later in the evening on the 19th and would like to stop by Wally World (Walmart) and maybe a Steak & Shake before checking in.
