Can someone recommend something that is right outside of Mystic. I am trying to book three rooms for my boss for August. Everything right inside of Mystic is around $200 per night and he wants to pay less. Thanks

There are some inexpensive hotels right off the exit ramp from the Ct (I think it is referred as this) turnpike. There is a Howard Johnsons there and I think it a Days Inn....We stayed there several times at these and they were very nice. Great location because you can walk to the Mystic Village Shops and the Mystic Aquarium from them. There is also a very good steak house in that area and the hotels have shuttles to and back from the casinos but they are not very hard to get to to drive to them either.

Ok I just checked...It is the Exit 90 ramp and some of the hotels there are Howard Johnsons, Hyatt, Best Western and there are others. Some, I know HoJos is for sure cause I have been getting emails from them, are offering special package deals. I stayed at the HoJos several times and I stayed at the Best Western .... For me they were fine and would/will definately stay there again. I love this area. I am from the Lehigh Valley PA area and it is a great area to just go and get away for awhile with a bit of things to do. I love the "Old Mystic Village" shops and we always visit the aquarium. Mystic Village is a short distance down the road that is not too far to drive to or even walk to. Foxwoods and Rising Sun are a short distance from there also and like I said you can take shuttles to them if you need to from those hotels.

Just got back from Mystic and we stayed at the Howard Johnson. Good room, close proximity to everything. There are also some other similar hotels right in the area, such as EconoLodge, etc.

Try www.grotoninn.com It has been a few years since I stayed there. They have regular hotel rooms, suites, effeciencies and 1 -2 bedroom apartments. I stayed in one of the 2 bedroom apartments. It is only a few minutes from Mystic and is located right off the highway.

I've stayed for business at the Mystic Marriott and it was great. Right off the highway. Don't know the price though.

I am not sure of hotels in the area.... But Mystic is my hometown and I really do miss it!! We usually stay with family when we go up... I miss home...:sad2:

Thanks everyone...he went with the Super 8 for around $110 per night...not my choice but not my trip either.
