Yes, I am a Gold Certified Mystery shopper. There are several threads here on the boards about it. But if you want to learn about it, please, go to
www.volition.com/forums and
www.mysteryshop.org. These two sites will tell you everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask. These sites will give you the names of companies, and feedback on what companies you want to work for and which ones to avoid.
Mystery shopping is HARD work. You can make as little as 7.00 for a "shop", or much more. It depends where you live, and your experience, and the companies. There are alot of factors. The more companies you apply to, the more job opportunies you get.
You need to be detail oriented. You need to be able to remember times and lots of details and names and observations. You cannot be caught. You need to be able to write narratives, and be able to follow very specific instructions. If you don't do it correctly, you will need to do it again, at your own cost (if it was a restaurant) evaluation. It isn't for everyone. Yes, you can make money. You need to keep track of how much you make to report it to the IRS. You will not get 1099's from the companies, unless you make more than 599.00 with them.
Again, please go to

www.mysteryshop.org.
Final word, NEVER PAY A FEE TO BE A SHOPPER. THere are companies out there that will sell you a list of companies. There is no need for this.
