Mystery Shopper

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about Mystery Shopping as a part-time job. I saw an ad for intelli-shop in the classifieds today and looked it up online. It really didn't give alot of info about what you would be paid. Since you would be an independent contractor, the money would really have to be worth it to cover all of the taxes. It also said you would be reimbursed for anything you purchase up to the maximum they allow for that job.

Does anyone have experience mystery shopping with intelli-shop or any other company?

Just trying to fund my next WDW vacation!!

A couple of years ago my sister in law did this. They sent her around to alot of different Burger Kings. She had to purchase the food with her own money, and save the receipts. She had a list of things to get information on. Example, the food quality... was it hot, employees clean and neat, bathroom conditions. She had a few hassles getting reimbursed, and with todays gas prices it doesn't sound like a good job. She never really said what they paid her, but she said it wasn't much.

I did it for a few months. I felt it was a lot of work for the little amount of money you get. I would do a dry cleaning shop. They would give you $8.00 for the dry cleaning and $3.00 for the shop. But you have to fill out a long form, remember everything and send it back to them. I felt it wasn't worth the money. Some people do. By the time you figure your time, gas & expenses, I felt I was making $3.00 a hour.
