Ok, On my last trip to WDW, I was trying to trade with a CM that had her black mickey clasp toward me. Basically the pin's front was facing her shirt (you couldnt see it). When I asked to trade or see what she said she said "No" and "Thats my mystery pin I dont have to trade those".

I thought all CM's had to trade (with the exception of the colored landyards meant for children under 12)??

This really had me stumped as to what she had that was so important that she didnt want to trade!

Has anyone encountered this before? In any case, that CM was extremely rude. I went to another CM and asked them and they said they'd trade with me.

Every CM that I've encountered with "mystery" trades, have made the trade. I hate it when the CM feels they can change the rules. Best thing to do is ask for their supervisor or someone in authority who knows the pin trading rules, if you want to make a fuss. I feel those CMs shouldn't be allowed to trade with the public if they don't follow the Company rules, IMHO.

I agree... If you are wearing a lanyard and trading pins then you should trade any pin on the lanyard (if you are a CM).

Never heard that one. Usually they are happy to trade the mystery pins.
The only time I have run across this was when the CM told me it was a defective pin and had it pinned on backwards and did not want to trade it.
