Anybody ever told by a CM that they have a PIN, but the CM can't tell what it is? The guy worked on it for 10 minutes, called Guest Services and came back and said "Yes, you have a PIN but I can't find out what it's for". Never had this happen. Anybody else?:confused3

I booked a vacation with a "mysterious" pin. The CM just quoted me a discount and then when it was confirmed it said under my reservation "passholder pin". I then called back to modify the reservation (add and change resort) but no one could "see" nor give me the pin number so I could work on this myself. They could however change/modify the reservation but only over the phone.

Maybe you could just ask them to apply it to a reservation and see what it is for...although I caution you that once you use it I don't know if you can cancel and rebook or not but it appears you can modify.

Could it be your pin hasn't been released yet? Call back daily to check and I would just inquire, not letting them know you have one and just see what happens. You could ask for guest services yourself if you get the same kind of reply.

That's exactly what happened to me this week when I booked our trip. I called to see if I could get a better deal than what I was getting online, secretly hoping for a pin. The CM played with it for a while and came back with a figure that saved me about $350. :woohoo: The next morning, I got the email with my PIN code.

This happened to me a few weeks ago. I called to see if there was a pin attached to my name, the CM said there was but she couldn't tell what it was for. She told me she could put our info in and see if it came up at a discount. The total was 35% off the room only. So I booked it and 2 days later I got the pin e-mail. Go figure! Any way it's all good and I get to take my kiddos for their first WDW Christmas trip. Can't wait!

Hmm, I called yesterday and wasn't told what the code was, but I was able to book a MYW with dining at the contemporary for less then I was getting online, on my own, and through an agent, at the Caribean Beach-
I took it!

I just called and she couldn't see my pin...she said it was for 5% off!! Does that sound crazy? 5%????

There have been a lot of people who have gotten that pin already this year. Disney has said they are going to cut back on discounts, maybe this will be the start of it.

I am with you, that sounds crazy but I have seen others report of getting the same 5% discount. But geez 5% does not even cover the room tax.

Was it 5% off the room or an entire package?

It was the entire package. I guess I should be thankful that I had something attached to my name, but come on!! It surely wasn't enough to book a stay!!!!:sad2:

I was on chat with a CM last night and asked about dining being offered again...she eluded to 'no' but encouraged me to book w/dining because I could save 40% in the fall if I booked dining with my room/ticket pkg, so that may be their "game plan." No free dining offer, but save up to 40% on your pkg rate if you add DDP. For what it's worth.

I found this on another thread, so this is way better than my 5%... I guess it's worth a try to call and ask.

I have already booked our trip with AAA. Can I call a CM and see if a pin is attached to my name eventhough I booked through AAA?

Hmm...would be fun to run the numbers to see what the total $ value the pin had [I know, I'm a dork!] and contrast the true value on the bigger ultimate tab v. a larger % room only code.

I received a discount through the mail the other day. I called and the CM said we don't send discounts through the mail. She acted really confused because she said the only way Disney sends discounts is through e-mails. I advised her of what I had in my hand and she said well ok and gave me a new price. What the heck. :confused3 I wonder sometimes if they hire people without training them first or something :rotfl2:
