Hi i want a myspace and my parents don't want me to and i told them i could set my profile to privite and the need more convincing so can anyone help!

Set it to privite, sign out, and show them how no one will be able to see it if they're not your "friend".
Oh, and you can always tell them that you won't be any personal info, like pictures or school name, or whatever.

I'm pretty sure I've already been through this with you.

A convicted sex offender used to live about three houses away from me. Now fi someone was going to kidnap me, who do you think it'll be? Some pervert who lives a hundred miles away and isn't even sure where I live, or this guy right down the street?

I'm going to bet on that guy, because he kidnapped and raped two little girls a few months ago. That happened three houses away from me. I can look out my window and see his house. I'm pretty sure he's in jail now.

So all in all, myspace isn't the most dangerous thing in my life. That award goes to walking down my street or being in my own backyard.

exactly. i go on there with nothing else to do.
all of my friends on myspace are either bands, or people i have accepted because i trust them. don't disagree with my trust, i have my ways of trusting a person. everything on my myspace is private.
i go myspace to get updates from bands i love and that's about it.
