OP, I hear your plight. I deleted two "friends" for their ridiculousness. The first was an old friend from high school who used to date my cousin. She continuously always posted these nasty bulletins that were incredibly demeaning to anyone who dared to have a differing opinion. I got sick and tired of it. The second one was someone I used to know as well...but she continuously flooded the bulletin section with all these sexually graphic bulletins...the the point that I woul dhave to go back a few pages to just see someone elses bulletin...she seriously did this every single day.
It's not a matter of being "high schoolish," but this is MY myspace account and I'm sorry, but I don't want to have it slapped in my face every single time I sign onto my account. A "once in a great while" hello isn't worth being flooded with all that nonsense. No, I don't have to open the bulletins, but neither should I have to go through pages and pages of bulletins just to find one I AM interested in. That's just absurd.
I say just delete her and move on. Myspace can be a fun site...don't let someone else ruin it for you.
I pretty much leave my friends to people I actually know and care about. Very few on my account are people who are not in that category (such as a few bands I like, or something). But I'm not afraid to give someone the boot if their antics cross the line. I wasted enough time in high school with that...and now I no longer need to.
