Ok, I want all you reward program experts out there to tell me if you think this will be ok to do.

My DS has picked out four pair of pants from Oldnavy.com. The total after using the Rugby2 discount will be $89.15 w/S&H.

Since Mypoints.com is having a double points promotion, I thought I'd go to OldNavy.com through Mypoints, order $90 worth of "virtual" gift cards. I know I'll have to "send" them to different email addresses. I'll then use all those gift cards (1-$50 and 4-$10's) to pay for my order.

When I actually purchase the pants, I was going to go through Mypoints.com again and collect 4 points for the actual purchase of the pants.

Sooooooo, I'd get the following when it's all said and done....

4 points X $90 (gift cards) = 360 points
4 points x $90 (pants purchase using gift cards) = 360 points
For a total of 720 points

Would this work?

I don't believe you can get points when you purchase gift cards. It usually tells you that when you go to make your purchase. Maybe someone else will know better, otherwise, good idea! lol
