MyPoints - What are you redeeming...

Chances are pretty good that at least Dmitry and I can add them (and probably CR as well). Some of the really big ones are a little harder to get. But if Mypoints has them, we can at least make a strong argument to the merchant that they should allow us as well. That's how I got Lands' End last week.

Can we start a petition asking disney to offer affiliate rebates for gc's again? :rotfl2: I need some more disney $$!

Thanks for everyone's responses! I sent an email to Mypoints and got a response back saying that they were looking into getting webbies back but aren't sure when that would be. It looks like rainforest will work best for us.

Another suggestion: I just cashed in some of "My Points" for a Gift Cert to The Macaroni Grill..(Brinker) they have one near downtown Disney and now a new on at Orlando International Airport! On our upcoming trip our flight out isn't till 8pm, so I think we will use it at the airport, before our flight!

I ended up getting Gas Cards cause we are driving for an impromptu trip next month. They did deliver them quickly!!!!

Would this be an option---isn't the Swan or Dolphin owned by Hyatt? Could you cash out for Hyatt GCs towards stays at Sw/Do?

My Points just raised the points of a Rainforest cafe $25 gc from 3250 to 3500

Also I do believe they expire one year from date of issue.

They used to have $50 gc but I haven't seen them in a good 6 months

This really surprises me that they keep doing this. That means that they are now paying back about 3.5% for Disney. But when you look at their site and they say "5 points per dollar", in your mind you kind of think "5%".

As big a company as they are, it is interesting that they are devaluing their points. I wonder if it is because of the amount of fraud in the rewards business? Or maybe they are sending out more "free" clicks and emails to compensate for it? I've been a Mypoints member since about the beginning of their program and have never understood why they keep raising the points needed for their GC.

No - the Swan and Dolphin are Starwood.

THere is a Hyatt at the airport that some people stay at their first or last night if their flight times are late/early.

I haven't noticed an increase in emails. I think I get maybe 1 a day. I think I've actually been getting less via email than when I first signed up. I also hate how they keep upping their gc redemption amounts and keep taking away gc's from the list. I have definetly been using them less and less. The only reason I use them is for the higher end department stores (Bloomingales, Neimans, and Saks) that other places don't have and for a few boutiques on the internet. If I could find these things elsewhere (or the merchandise) I'd write off mypoints all together.
