MyPoints + WebCertificate = Meal Voucher

Guess what I just did......




Got "free" WDW Breakfast Vouchers.


I redeemed my MyPoints for WebCertificates. Then used the 'shop anywhere online' feature. Went to Hotwiresavingsclub and ordered 2 Adult and 2 Child breakfast voucers.

Too bad I didn't think of this before, otherwise I would have been using my points for WebCerts more often.

How long does it take to get confirmation for the webcert? I did mine about a week ago and still nothing. I'm starting to get concerned. I didn't even get a confirmation email.

This is exactly what I did!!! One time when we were driving, I cashed in for the gas cards. You can also do the Rainforest cafe gift cards, but I think the VKL lunch vouchers are a better deal. You can also get a Macaroni Grill gift card if you are willing to go off site.

But for our use, we found the webcertificates to vouchers to be the best.

You know, this really bums me out. I tried to do this exact same thing -- use Webcert for vouchers-- and Hotwire kept rejecting my Webcert. Mastercard. I even called and talked to three reps and a manager and all they could say was "sometimes this happens."

I'm glad it worked for you all better than it did for me!

I think I requested the webcert around the first of Nov, I printed out the confirmation but its at home so I can't tell you exactly what date. I got the email yesterday saying that my webcert was ready. I've heard it can take several weeks depending on some mysterious processing cycle. This is the second one I've requested and each time its taken about 10 days.

How many points? Do you have to be a hotwire member also? I don't know much about vouchers. Could you use them a a character buffet?

A $25 Webcertificate from Mypoints is 3500 points. It took about 10 days to get my virtual Mastercard that can be used anywhere online. (You can also request a plastic card, but that costs $7.95).
Once you get your mastercard acccount, then go to Hotwiresavingsclub and purchase the meal vouchers. You must be a member of Hotwiresavings to purchase the voucher. You can either do a free 30 trial, or continue on at $7.95 per month.
