I got my reply from member care. Here's what they said:
We apologize for any confusion which has arisen regarding your account
balance. We hope the following helps clear up that confusion. Your
total account balance is not negative. However, if you check a monthly or
weekly balance, then you might see a negative number. This is because
on that particular week or month, you spent more points than you earned.
Therefore, if you entered a week with a balance of 1500 points, and in
that week you earned 300 more points, but spent 1000, your total
balance would be a positive number (1500 + 300 - 1000 = 800), but your weekly balance would be negative (300 - 1000 = -700). The weekly and monthly balances reflect only activity from that particular week or month.

So that's as clear as mud! Why would they make it so darn complicated? In my account statement, it clearly has a negative number. I just hope it works itself out in a few days. So for anyone else...don't freak if you have negative numbers show up as your balance after you cash out! Apparently, it is just the wacky way they calculate things.
