I received an email (not from MyPoints) offering a free coffee maker to sign up with Gevalia. I really need a coffee maker (don't drink coffee but guests always want it.) My problem is this: I would really like to go through MyPoints but I don't see a similar offer. Does anyone know if there is one at MyPoints and I am just overlooking it?

I am about 50 points away from being able to get two $25 webbies. How long does it take to get them? We leave for WDW on Feb. 2. Do I stand a chance? Thanks

Amy

Go thru MyPoints to Gevalia. When the page comes up, click on "Home" in the upper left side of the page.

Under the picture that says "Always A Pleasure" click on the "Learn" button.

On the following page, click on another "Learn" button located under the "Gevalia Kaffe" heading.

On the right hand side of the next page is an offer for a free thermal carafe coffee maker when you join their direct delivery program for $14.95. The price also includes 2 8 oz. packages of coffee.

Keep in mind that by doing this, you will be signing up to have coffee automatically delivered to your home on a regular basis. You can determine the frquency of delivery yourself.

Hope this was of some help.

Regarding the webbies, you may be cutting it close on this one. I cashed out on 12/8 for a $25 webbie and still do not have it. Sometimes MyPoints can be quicker with webbies. I'm assuming that between the holidays and the bankruptcy scare, things have been very busy in their redemption department. Hopefully you will get yours more quickly.

I don't see anything at MyPoints for the coffee maker offer. But if you go to Gevalia's site, they have a 10-cup Krups coffee maker on sale for $29.95. I don't know much about coffee makers (that's DH's territory since I don't drink it), but you might want to check other places for just a coffee maker to see if there's a better deal if all you really need is the coffee maker.

If they sent a code in the email, you can enter it at their site for whatever offer you have. You can often find these things in direct mail pieces, too.

Ah, wait! I figured it out! Get tp the Gevalia site from MyPoints. From Gevalia's homepage, click on Coffee along the left-hand side, and then under Join Gevalia on the right hand side, you can select an offer from the drop-down menu. Click through them all (TV, Internet, etc.) to see which one has the offer you want. You still have to "pay" $14.95 or $19.95 for the coffee. But some of the deals come with travel mugs as well as the coffee maker.

Hope this helps!

Seems like we were posting at the same time. ;-)

Or I should say, I was still busy searching the site for the info while you were posting your message.

Just a word of caution. I joined their coffee delivery last year in exchange for a free month trial and a small gift by paying shipping and handling. The "free" coffee was terrible - poor quality [IMHO] and it was a real struggle to get canceled. I ended up having to refuse to accept a shipment and denying payment on the charge they tried to make to my card.

I have belonged to Gevalia 4 different times over the last many years. I just cancelled this membership today. I' ve never had any problems with cancellation but I don't think the coffee is worth the money anymore. I used to think it was great but I don't don't if it has changed or my taste has changed but I think it is mediocre. I think the new coffee pot with the thermal carafe is the pits. My first one leaked from day 1, I sent it back and they sent me another and it started leaking after a week. (the carafe leaked I mean).

A little off topic but I got a new Capresso coffee maker for Christmas and it is WONDERFUL. It has the built-in coffee grinder and it tastes so good.

Thanks for the info. The last thing I want is another leaking coffee pot (I bought cheap the first time and you cannot pour from the pot without it leaking - kinda sucks when you are pouring a scalding liquid!) I am leary of joining things with auto shipments - guess I will just buy a coffee pot. Anyone else have a suggestion for an inexpensive but good one?

TIA

Amy

I also have the insulated pot coffee maker and I absolutely love it! It keeps the coffee nice and hot for hours without 'cooking' it more.

Sorry tohear yours leaked. I have had mine for about 6 months and am having great luck with it. I also had no problems cancelling. I also like being able to do my orders through the website. Nice bonus!

Maybe I should have tried sending this one back and getting another. I agree it did keep it nice and hot. Both of mine leaked around the seam near the bottom.
