MyMagic+ Review: MagicBands & FastPass+

I noticed a couple comments on the blog... I believe that the nighttime shows/parades are only available certain days. And day guests aren't being left out, I'm sure it's just easier to get everything tested for guests staying on property first. First rule of troubleshooting... eliminate as many variables as possible.

Big big big props to Shaun for putting in the large offset mentioning that Magicbands aren't necessary. An RFID KTTW gives you the exact same functionality. It's just less convenient IMO.

But wheeee I can't wait until test and adjust is over and I can get my Magicband!

Well done. We will be testing this in 2 weeks. I'm excited. I'm probably more excited to accessorize my magic band. :)

Enjoyed reading the review. Once I finish I decided to check the MDE website to be sure my info was all there.

I found two cards on my profile listed as KTTW cards but I have no idea where they came from. Perhaps a couple of our earlier stays? Anyway, I deactivated them. Not sure if I should have done that.

Also, my AP was not on my profile (not sure why, I know I had registered it on the AP site) so I added that without difficulty. Then I added my November OKW reservation without any difficulty. I was also able to do all this for Val, who doesn't have her own MDE account.

Couldn't find a spot to add my MVMCP ticket or TiW card on the site.

I didn't try to add my reservations for several upcoming stays at the Swolphin to my MDE page. I wonder if it would have worked.

Great job! Such good clear information. I think this might work for us, was not a fan of the only 3 at first but now as a whole package I think I am starting to like it more.looking forward to this weeks podcast.

Thank you so much for this review. I think it really helps to see people using it and getting decently unbiased information.

I am personally someone who is really interested in this and would love to be a part of the test. No Disney plans this year though. I just love new technology and am excited to see all the benefits that could come for guests through this program.

Great report Shaun

One thing I wanted to add is that CMs at both CP and HBD told me that the iPod/scanner things were troublesome

Guests at YC I spoke with loved the bands thus far

I tried entering our APs on My Disney Experience. It took them, but said they expired in June 2013 which is incorrect since they are good until May 2014. :( The CM I called said it is because we are not part of the test group. We don't go until December. We will go by what is written on our APs as far as expiration date. :)

Interesting review. It seems odd to read such a positive review when there are so many terrible reviews on the Theme Park Strategies board... I guess most of the people who are happy with it aren't posting.
