MyDisneyExperience App while at park

I don't know about others but after using the MyDisneyExperience App for Iphone at the park (just got back after 9 days in Disney) I think it is pretty lacking.

1) The wait times were awful. No where near the actual wait times. On Monday Pirates had a 60 minute wait, app showed it as 30 most of the day. Both Splash Mountain and 7d had temporary shutdowns, it was open hours before the App showed it open.
2) When I used the App from home, never had to re-login, at the park had to re-login every few times accessing the program. Not very easy to use while in the park.
3) I never found it if it existed but it would be nice to have a function that searches for any available restaurants. There was one day we didn't have any restaurant reservations and we went to Universal. We decided to eat when we got back to Disney, it would have been nice to do a search on any restaurants in say Downtown Disney or even resort wide that still had reservations available that accepted single DDP credits at say 7:00. We eventually found some but we kept having to open and close every restaurant.
4) A simple function like display restrooms near me right now. If you listed rest rooms it would list all of them in the park and their relative distances, but you would think they would order them based on distance. You could look though a list of like 10-15 and find the closest one farthest down on the list.
5) Under "My Reservations" fast pass listings were always correct, under "Fastpass+" section the listings were always wrong, usually only showed a portion of mine and my friends listings.

I can answer #3 for you. There is a function where you can go and find out which restaurants have reservations available. I found it by accident the other day.

Go to Dining, then search by location. It gives you all the parks, hotels etc. to pick from.

I found the thing that lists every restaurant at the locations, but I never saw anything that listed available reservations. I never saw anything that did that. I just pulled up Downtown Disney and had to do the search over and over again for each restaurant, and there was no easy way to figure out which ones were the restaurants that took one credit vs. the ones that took two credits. The reservation response email says that information but if you are booking the day of the reservation it is a little late if you make a mistake.

I had to pull up the Disney Dining guide in one window and keep switching back to the App for the reservations.

Yeah, I didn't see you were looking for DDP info. That would be a nice feature on MDE.

I use the Lines app for wait times. There are also several other similar sites/apps available with more accurate wait times.

After the first couple of times using the App I switched to WDW waits app by VersaEdge. It is one of the crowd sourcing apps. The wait times it listed weren't totally accurate but if you clicked on "Recent Wait Times" it showed what people recently reported, and that was very accurate. I think the actual time it showed is based on averaging so it would take time to reach the actual ride time. It just happened to be the second App I found that was a little reliable. The one from UndercoverTourist wasn't real accurate.

How did the Lines app work for you? That is what I am planning to use next week.

Good for the most part since it seems to use the same predictive algorithms as Touring Plans does, even if there aren't very many live reports it's still more accurate than MDE/Posted Wait Times.
