Boy, my yard looks pretty. I couldn't have nearly as good of a job. Why didn't I do this years ago?:D

Isn't it amazing what hiring a professional can do? We're having some crown moulding put in and a few rooms painted. I'm in awe at how quick the pros are and how nice it looks!

Good for you.:D My parents finally caved in and got a pro, and their yard looks beautiful.

Me, on the other hand - I'm still too cheap and one look at my yard will tell you so.;)

The best thing is he will keep coming by every 2 weeks to cut the grass and do the upkeep. I will still do the watering, though, I couldn't afford the plan where he comes by to water too!:p

I love landscaping too much to let someone else do it. I am really proud of my garden especially as I landscaped it myself - I'm just re making my waterfall into the pond at the moment. I'm not too keen on weeding though!!

Ok, tacky question alert: sure, it looks great, but how much does it cost? I'd love to stay in a Grand Floridian suite, too, but...well, you get the idea.

Well, I kinda cheated on the price. I know the landscaper because at the answering service I work at we answer for his business. He charged me under 400.00 for the whole thing. The maintenence is going to be 100.00 a month.

Edited to add- Also, a big way to save money is to buy the plants yourself. That is what I did.

In our case, it's a new house, so our landscaper is doing everything from planting trees and shrubs to installing a sprinkler system, planting grass and even building a deck (well, through a sub-contractor for that). It wasn't cheap, but we figured if we had it done right from the beginning, we wouldn't have to fight as much to keep it looking good (we'll do most of the maintenance ourselves).

We built it into the overall cost we budgeted for the house, though, so it's expenses we've planned for. :)
