My Wrist - An Update

I went to the doctor today. He decided it would be best to put it in a real cast. The nice thing was that I got one with Gortex, so I can still do the waterparks. They had so many colors to choose from, so I got a DIS cast, in nice bright lime green. Now, I can just stick my arm in the air, and we can have a DIS Tour Group flag

Also, this is making typing way easier. I am still much slower, but my fingers are much more free.

Hey, Brad - glad to hear that you got a cast on that wrist!

My son fell and broke his arm at the 2001 BSA National Jamboree in Fort Hill AP, VA on the 2nd day. The army docs gave him a VERY solid camo cast and he stayed the remaining 8 days, unfortunately his was not waterproof and he could not snorkel, swim, kayak, or scuba dive.

Did they say how long the cast would have to be on?

They gave me six weeks in it. Not too bad, but it will be on for all of WDW. I have now learned my lesson, no more walking on fallen trees in wet sandles for me. I would love to go to the BSANJ!
