My wishlist for WWOHP

I totally forget when I was down there to look for the Weasly's car, my bad, tried to remember everything, where is it at? Is it in the quee for the Dragon Challenge? If so, what else did I miss, avoided that as I am not much into roller coasters, use to love roller coasters but now they make me sick but I am thinking that I should have walked through the line now.:)

Yes, It's in the Dragon Challenge. They let us tour the queue then skip the ride.

Wish I would have done that, I totally forgot they had put HP stuff in there, I am so mad now that I didn't remember, oh well, will have to take another trip once they do all the expanding.:goodvibes

I'm so excited. My husband and I will be going to Universal in February. It will be our first time ever escaping from the Maine cold in February. Even if it's "only" 50 degrees in Florida, it will be nicer than the 3 degrees I woke up to yesterday!

I'm glad people are enjoying the Harry Potter stuff. I'm a HUGE Harry Potter fan (you can't teach 7th grade and NOT love Harry Potter...I think it's part of a teacher's code or something). We went to the Harry Potter Exhibition in Boston last year and saw the movie props. That was amazing. I can't wait to go to the theme park.

In our party (who have been sorted by the Sorting hat at the exhibition) we had three Hufflepuffs and one Ravenclaw.

Sorry for the stupid question, but I'm lost. :rotfl2: Where were you able to be sorted?

Would like to know as well.:)

Since the OP mentioned "the exhibition", I am assuming there must be something at the traveling exhibition that allows you to be sorted: http://www.harrypotterexhibition.com/Default.aspx. Hoping it will eventually come to our area.

You can take an online quiz at http://harrypotter.scholastic.com/sorcerers_stone/ under "profile" to find out where the sorting hat would place you.

Enjoy your trip -- from one Maine girl to another! My son and I are going in April. I can not wait!

I'm just back and the WWOHP was the biggest day of souvenir spending for us. One thing I saw and wish they sold was the Beaubatons girls' hats!

We ended up with a robe, scarves, a pygmy puff, the patronus unicorn, Scabbers, a couple of pins, some wands, sweets (too many chocolate frogs!) from Honeydukes, a Slytheryn travel mug, a Hogwarts glass mug, bottles of pumpkin juice (and Butterbeer whilst we were there of course), a hoodie.. I think I'm forgetting some stuff. However, some of this was Christmas presents for others so it wasn't too bad :)

They definitely need to grow and take over other islands. What they have now is too small.

I would really like a MiB type ride with wands instead of guns. A London/Diagon Alley/Knockturn Alley Island would rock.

Great ideal for the MIB type ride, that would prove crazy popular. A TSM type maybe?

I am certainly all for a Potter extension as long as it stays in cannon with what is already in place. Sorry, but as a Potter fan, the last thing I want is a bunch of Harry Potter attractions that are just thrown into the available space without thought as to how it actually fits the already established theme. You just cant have Diagon Alley mixed into Hogsmeade, it's just weird and very wrong(and I'm pretty positive JKR will have my back on this :rotfl:). But there is still a lot they can do to keep it all in cannon, such as the Shrieking Shack, the Forbidden Forrest, a quidditch attraction ect.

However, if the do use the LC space, the main thing I ask for is some sort of entrance buffer area between Potter and Suess Landing. Just can't see how you can walk from one, directly into the other without laughing hysterically and how jarring that contrast would be.

As for warm butterbeer, yeah, I don't know about that, but I'd be all for the
warm pumpkin juice. I hated it cold but thought, it would be awesome
warmed up on a chilled day.

I completely agree any expansion should be true to the canon, and a buffer zone is important. However, I also think some re-thinking is in order about the size of shops, etc. For instance, Olivanders should be an intimate experience but, with more thought I think they could have used illusion and created more than one. If designed in a convoluted enough fashion, several shows could have gone on at the same time with no one noticing. I hope any expansion will be approached with the waiting in mind.
