are growing at the moment and they are really annoying me, it feels like I have something stuck in the back of my gums so I keep trying to move it with my tongue unconsciously which causes pain!

Join the club! I had to have my very back molar removed just before we went away but I was warned that my wisdom tooth was on it's way down and would come down quite quickly following the extraction. Well all I can say is that I have a headache where this thing is coming down as it is coming out out of line with my other teeth and I can feel it against my cheek.
If it really bothers you I would go to your dentist to be on the safe side, otherwise dose yourself with ibuprofen

I'm a member of the evil wisdom teeth club.

Top right, fully down, Top left half way down still causing the odd day of pain.

Not sure if I'm suposed to get any in the lower jaw as I can't see any room. :rotfl:

Had all mine out years ago as they were causing a load of grief ... bloomin' painful to get 'em out though!

I had impacted wisdom teeth and had to go to the dental hospital to have them removed. The bottom left took 55 minutes and the upper left took 5 seconds to remove.

The ironic thing is that my wife who accompanied me ended up assisting the dentist as he had actually trained her a few years previously!!

When my wisdom teeth were playing me up, my face swelled up something terrible. Thankfully I haven't had any problems with them for years (touch wood !!)

I hope the pain goes away soon :wizard:

I'm on the wating list for 2 to be extracted. The top one is through but the bottom one is just exposed (and has been for years) and the gum keeps getting infected. It's OK at the moment thankfully.

So you have my sympathy!

I am worried that mine might be infected, it has not come though the gum and the dentist said he does not think it will do so warned me there is a risk of food getting stuck which can cause an infection have used half a bottle of mouth wash the past few days as my mouth does not feel fresh. yuk!
the gum feels soft and my cheek feels swollen, I feel like I have a hamster cheek. I think I will make an appointment today.

All my wisdom teeth came through at the same time. Still remember the pain, just touching my face was terribly painful. Thankfully I have had no pain since then.

Hope you feel better soon :grouphug:

I have only got 3 wisdom teeth, one is missing. My lower left one caused my pain earlier in the year and my dentist said it was because the tooth had nowhere to go. Luckily no more pain since then.

I too only have 3 wisdom teeth. When I had my mouth x-rayed the 4th isn't there. The top two are out but the bottom left is really taking it's time. I know what you mean about feeling fresh, sometimes I get a really yucky taste in my mouth from it. The pain is horrible but I really don't want to have it removed. If you go to the dentist they can normally prescribe you with some pain killers.

I hope it starts to feel better soon

Hi

Wisdom teeth... certainly nothing wisdom about these teeth. Mine caused me alot of problems a couple of years back. They were meant to be removed but they came through in the end. The only other problem I have is the right one rubs occassionally and it gets sore occassionally. If these could be removed I would be pleased. My new dentist for some reason will not refer me to have them taken out. I hardly go to the dentist unless for pain elsewhere or 6 monthly check ups.

This sounds very similar to how my teeth came through. I ended up having all four of mine removed. The bottom two because they were coming in on angle and just cutting through the gum anf the two top ones because they had not broken through the gum.

It was not a pleasant experience and I had to sleep sitting up for 2 days. But it was well worth it once the swelling had gone down, it was only then that I realised the discomfort that they had been causing me.

Good luck whatever you decide.

I have an appoitment at the dentist which i made yesterday however it not till January.lol,
