Can you believe they have turned on dear old dad and do not want to camp at the fort this weekend,stating it was just too much work to set up the popup for just a weekend trip to the fort Who has taken my dear family captive and have taken there brain I have never thought i would hear my wife and daughter utter those words to me(it's just too much work for 2 nites and 5 hours one way)I had ressies to the rosen shingle resort hotel till the reports came in saying it was opened before it was time,have ressies at palmino suites to cover that one but the FORT came to my mind and wham i can get in..........My 2 have been overtaken by aliens!!!!!It's the only thing that makes sense!!!!What' your thought's????????????

OK....I am the wife of the OP here and I have to give the OTHER side of the story here!!! Yes I LOVE FW but I have very bad memories of the last time we tried to camp for just a short weekend trip. Our dd was only about 3 then and yes she is nine now but I have very vivid memories of getting yelled at several times because the pop-up did not have a fast set-up time and it was getting dark and we were all hungry,etc. I have not been kidnapped by aliens but I would prefer to have nice weekend where I do not get yelled at for not doing something right.

We can not leave here until around 12:30 and it is a 5 hour drive.on a Friday night and then we have to leave fairly early on that Sunday because we have a school day on Monday. I am not crazy...I just prefer a relaxing weekend where the bed is ready.

Also I DID finally tell OP(DH) that he could do "whatever" because it is HIS money paying for this trip.

Thought y'all needed both sides of the story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, I really wish I lived that close to Disney that I could just drive there for a weekend!! Lucky you! I drove in July, and it took me 22 hours (I stopped for one night though). Aliens surely must have taken your family, because I'd be jumping at the idea of going to Disney for a couple of nights!

Hi-Lo is a real good Alien conversion machine. About 12 seconds and the bed is ready after levelers go down. Plug in, hook up and those Aliens just don't have time to react. From engine off to walk through the door should be under 5 minutes if the crew worked like a NASCAR Pit Crew. .

My girls don't think camping stinks just my hinnie.... ....We have been camping for over 9 yrs and we do love it...and i do have the tendency to be a bear at times when things don't go well.......
....but i just don't seem to remember thing's like my wife....maybe it's time i get intouch with my girlie side

This time of year it does not get dark til about 8:00pm so you should arrive with plenty of daylight left to back in without the DW having to help out.

My wife and kids all camp my wife just bought a new tent trailer this summer and she used it 2 times for a total of 8 nights. They also tent camp and have done so up at Algonquin Park and numerous other places. I hate camping and I will appease them by camping for a week in Dec 07 but the trade off was the toys I got to go out and buy to put in the trailer LOL. I got to get myself a new 20" LCD HD tv and a new DVD surround system for in the trailer which then will be in my bedroom at home so I have to endure a week couped up in a trailer for teh betterment of my home enhancements lol.
