I posted on here earlier about brochure ideas and I wanted to post what I ended up sending to my guests a couple weeks ago. I wanted to send them some info as soon as I could so they could prepare and start saving to go to Disney. Here they are (my DF's cousin helped me put them together in Microsoft Publisher; they were printed on tri-fold brochure paper):

Next month I plan on sending my guests a survey to return back to me with questions such as:
Do you plan on attending our Disney Wedding?
Are you interested in traveling by bus?
Which resort are you most interested in staying (choose one):
- Grand Floridian
- Contemporary
- Port Orleans French Quarter
- All Star Music

I may add a few more questions but for now that's what I've come up with. I just wanted to try and get some rough numbers before I start planning for the bus and room blocks.

The questions will be typed up on a Disney Romance postcard:

I'll post the finished postcard when I'm done so you can see how it turns out.

Comments/suggestions welcome.

I love your postcards!!! They looke beautiful, and I can't wait to see what else you can come up with!!

The brochures turned out great :cool1: I know it helped our guests a lot when we sent them some information at around the 1 year mark too, so I'm sure your guests appreciated the information.

Have most of your guests been to Disney before? You might want to include another brochure or a newsletter with the postcards to explain the different hotels, etc. I did a breakdown of the different ones that are in our block to give them an idea of the different options at each resort.

The postcards are so cute... are they part of the Disney stamps from the Post Office? That is such a great idea! I absolutely love their Disney stamps. A new set just came out this week too. :goodvibes

Thanks!! I would say maybe half of my guests have been to Disney before. I like the idea of sending a newsletter along with the postcards - then my guests will actually know what I'm talking about when I ask them which resort they are interested in.

I got the postcards from 'usps.com'. They are the Disney Romance Stamped cards. I love the Disney stamps!!!

Jennifer the brochures look great! Dont'you just love Publisher! I did a similar on page newsletter to our wedding party when I sent out or Save the Dates. I hope to send off another brochure to all our invited guests once we sign our contract in October.

When/where are you having your wedding? I noticed you were in October 08 as well!

Thanks! Publisher does make it easier. I'm working on a newsletter now with Accommodations information to send along with my survey postcards. I'll post both of those when I get done.

I'm hoping to have my wedding October 17th 08'. I'm hoping for a Wedding Pavilion ceremony, Illuminations cocktail hour, and a reception at the American Rotunda. When/where are you having your's?

The brochure is just great idea. And I love the postcards, too. Have you gotten any feedback yet? We will be doing something similar for my daughters wedding, but I want to include airfare estimates, and theme park ticket prices as well. I hope if we give everybody a year to plan, they will turn it into a vacation. After all they will get a discount on the room and the tickets, and they'll get to attend a fabulous wedding!:tinker:

Thanks. We actually haven't sent the postcards yet because I'm finishing up our first newsletter. I wanted to send an Accommodations newsletter along with the survey postcards so I could get a feel for where people may want to stay. I should be sending these out before the end of the month so I'll let you know how much feedback I get.

Yeah, we're trying to give our guests as much time and info as well so they can save. We're hoping they make it a vacation as well. Your right about a Disney wedding being fabulous!!!

I love the postcards as well. We are disneymooning in December and we have registered with the WDW Honeymoon Registry. I would really like to send everyone a postcard as their thank you note. It would be even better to mail it while we were there. Plus, if I buy them beforehand, I can put all the addresses on them before the wedding. Then we could spend our time in line filling them out with quick notes.

Anyway, I found them on the USPS website and it said that additional postage was required. Are you aware of this? This might be ok for us because we can just go to the scrapbook store in DTD and add some postage via the meter along with the stamps that come with it. But I'm not sure. I've never bought "stamped cards" before, do they come with stamps or do they just have the prepaid notation on the back?

Thanks!
