My Wedding 17 Days Left & Counting...

Hello Ladies:

Well I have 17 days left until my Intimate on December 16th and my head is just starting to spin.

I have to email my coordinator (Maxine) and let her know I won't be using Disney for photos or video.

We still haven't found a dress for my maid of honor yet.
(I chose red and white roses for my wedding, so hopefully that will match with whatever she wears).

I ordered my dress from Davids Bridal. I still haven't done alterations and they still haven't gotten the dress in yet.
I can't wait...its so beautiful. Its a new champagne colored dress by Oleg Cassini. They don't even have it in the catalog or on the website yet. I saw it in Orlando Davids Bridal and then came to my hometown Davids's and made them order it for me.
Its more than I wanted to pay....but it looked awesome on me. Over $1,000 not including $200 for alterations because I am only 5 foot 3.

My Grooms Tux:
I tried getting a mickey vest from carolyn allens, but they said they wouldn't actually get the tux in until December 14th! So we couldn't do that. So we still have to get him a tux.
My father is in Peru due to family illness. ( I have no idea what he is wearing).

I still have to PAY FOR THE WEDDING!

I had to make hotel reservations for all my guests.
The only Disney Hotel they had available for a decent price was the Coronado Springs.
So all my guests will be WITH ME IN MY HOTEL!
So much for privacy.

JUST VENTING LADIES. I LOVE YOU GUYS AND I KNOW YOU ALL FEEL MY PAIN!

Whew!!! That sounds like a lot still to do!!

I have to email my coordinator (Maxine) and let her know I won't be using Disney for photos or video.

The real reason for my response... how does that work? If we can get Randy Chapman, I am going to take him. Do they refund the money before or afterwards? Can you PM me any information you have?

Black dress would work wonderfully! There's lots in stores right now for the holiday season, too.

May I suggest not using David's Bridal for your alterations if you on a time schedule this tight? Have you been calling them to check and see if your dress came in? Mine came in about 10 days after I ordered it. When I called 72 hours after the day it was supposed to come in, I was informed that I had been called and that I need to get in pronto becuase with the time that had elapsed, they could put it back on the floor. ***?! When I asked what number they called my response was, "Jeez. That number sounds an awful like the one I just called you on." It was THER office number. Now how in the world did I get left a message?

Most places you rent from will deliver the tuxes 48 hours prior. Has me nervous, too, but what can you do? Men's Wearhouse was easy to work with. But, if you don't want to pay an expedited delivery fee, you need to get in these by December 1st. We're having ALL the tuxes (like 20 of them ugh) shipped to the Orlando store on Sand Lake Road. We didn't want to have to worry about people picking them up becuase everyone's travel arrangements are different and pick up can't be until 2 days prior. You usually have a 2 week window they need, so you're rapidly approaching it!

The paying sucks! I think that's the worst part of the whole ordeal!

As for the hotel- hang the Do Not Disturb sign and shack up. No one said you had to tell them which room you're in. Besides, most people respect the idea of , "Wedding Night," and, "Newlyweds." You'll be fine!

Oh my god! If Davids Bridal does that to me!!!!! I will kill them. I have been going in every morning to see if they have my dress I ordered or if they got it in stock.
I nearly lost it today when the store manager told me they should have never told me it would be shipped that soon.
Thank god we got it all sorted out. As of right now...they are claiming it will be in on Friday. So I am keeping my fingers crossed.
I have purchased everything besides my bustier (is that how you spell it?) I wanted to see if I could get a sexier one from Victoria Secret. My Fiance said he wanted it to be cute and Davids Bridal doesn't carry anything like that.
I have a second choice dress in mind just in case.
I am sure I will have much more drama to post and vent about.
They had to special order my Veil and my shoes....they are supposed to be in 12/13. 3 days before my wedding!!!

Regarding the photography: I was told Disney will not refund anything for photography.
What you can do is you can pay $50 and have them do a Honeymoon Photography session in a park of your choice.
There may be other options...that is just what I chose.

Randy sounds so nice. I am sure the pictures will be wonderful.

gabrielle - best of luck with your fast approaching wedding, i hope your dress comes in soon. as for your moh's dress there are alot of nice red dresses out for christmas at the dept. stores, she could also try ordering a special occasion dress from newport news catalog or something similiar. as for the big wedding bill, yes it can create stress, use a cc to earn points/cash & pay it in full. as for your guests im sure they'll understand youre on your disneymoon as well.

underthemistletoe - i see your having the tux shop deliver the guys tux's i would love to do the same thing for my groom, our dads, bm & usher. are you using mens wearhouse? and if you dont mind sharing what is the delivary charge? thanks.

When I found out that all the guests for our wedding wants to stay in the same Hotel, I asked about privacy and they said for me to ask for the guests to be put on a different floor, that way, I can have my cake and eat it too, by enjoing our guests but also having some privacy. You might want to try that. Congratulations, I too am a December bride to be- 2006. Let us know how things go with your FTW.
