My waitlist came thru already!

I was on the waitlist for a standard view studio at BWV for the night of October 2. After being on the waitlist for less than 10 days, I already got it. The only thing that disappoints me (but just a little) is that I guess I'm not destined to ever stay at VWL. I've been on the waitlist several times for other resorts, while I've been able to reserve VWL. In every case, my waitlist has come through, so I haven't stayed at VWL. Oh, well-at least a standard view at BWV is fewer points, and closer to the F&W festival.

We waitlisted for BLT LV studio 7 nights in OCT as 3 were missing in the middle.

2 Days later I check tne web site and we had BLT.

I was on the waitlist for a BLT studio for Oct 23 and 24th for only 1 day! By the time I checked the website, it had already come through.

These stories are encouraging! I called March 30th to add one night to our BWV stay in Oct/Nov and had to waitlist (we're in a 2BR boardwalk view). It's the Saturday prior to our check-in on Sunday... so if it doesn't come through, we'll just stay off site for the one night. No biggie. But I hope it does come through!

i'm still hoping for oct 2-6, and we booked a few days before the 7 month mark. we've preferred view studio now, but really want bw view (we have bw view 9/26 - 10/2). since the f&wf doesn't start until oct 4, i wish i could split my waitlist into 2 seperate.....but don't want to get bumped down.

Did they change the dates? I thought Food and wine started the last weekend of sept? It did last year.

Epcot's Food and Wine Festival starts October 1, 2010, which is one weekend later than in 2009.

I hope I get some of that luck. We have 2 studios at BWV and are waitlisted for a 2 BR. They had all the nights except the last. I was thinking the middle of Sept. would be slow. Does anyone know how many standard view 2BR there are? Are they all a 1 BR and 1 studio or are some dedicated 2BR.

I booked BWV-preferred at the 9 month window (owner) and wanted a standard view. I booked a studio for Nov. 7-12 and no standard studio that week (as I had guessed), so did book the preferred room and waitlisted for the standard room. I figured my chances were better on the waitlist since this put me ahead of anyone calling at the 7 month window. Been on the waitlist for a month now and nothing. I knew the chances were not good, but decided to try as it didn't hurt anything. I think when the 7 month window opens there will be some movement, so will see if anything frees up next week. Next week will be my 7 month window and will add the BCV to my waitlist too!

I don't think BWV has any dedicated 2 bedrooms. I thought they were all lock offs at this resort. (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong). They do have dedicated 1 bedrooms and dedicated studios for sure.

What does that mean, 'lock off' .... for the 2 bedrooms? Does that mean they aren't dedicated to owners at the resort? So, in theory, a 2 bedroom would be easier to obtain?

Are the 2 beds at the Beach Club also classfied as 'lock off' ?

A 2 bedroom lock off is made up of a studio and a 1 bedroom. It can be reserved as each of those or combined for the 2 bedroom. So, each piece of the room would have its own door in.

A dedicated room is one that is all by itself and can not be combined with another room. So, a dedicated 2 bedroom can not be split back into smaller rooms. It will only have one entrance in.
