My very own LGMHPCs!!

I did it! I went to HD yesterday and liberated my first set of LGMHPCs! Our local HD is in the same lot as the mall, which holds our local Disney Store. We are hiring our nieces today as slave labor, and needed Disney Dollars to pay them. We are bringing them in September for a week. It's their first trip.I know, I'm paying for the trip, and giving them spending money. But they are going to clean my house! I asked my DH, who has no idea what I'm up to, to just drop me off in front of the store for a moment. I walk in, liberate, and leave. My DH sees me come out the other door, and pulls up. He asks what I did, and I show him my LGMHPCs! He says "What are you planning on painting that color?!?!" I just laughed and told him about how we are all going to recognize each other by our liberal placing of LGMHPCs, and he tells me I'm crazy! MEN!

Why do we always have to explain ourselves? I on the other hand completely understood what you were up to. And why you needed to do it!!

Congrats! I understand completely, and my dh thinks I am crazy too! I just ignore him about it completely. And people use them for many things, including putting the DIS user names on them and putting them on their backpacks & windows to identify themselves to fellow DISers in the park. Also, several people have said about putting their contact info on them and putting them on their kids in case they get seperated.

I liberated a few other colors as well, and we are also going to do a countdown with Mickey heads. I'll start at like 20 and number them. Then each day, the girls can remove one head from the poster until they are all gone! I am going to write our names and basic info, you know "Tonya at AKL" and attach them to our bags in the park. But only the LGMH for this. I must have the proper ID for fellow DISer's to recognize me. The funny thing is, my oldest niece is in love with lime green as a color, and has 3 different lime green shirts that she is taking to Disney. I hope everyone realizes I'm the DISer, not her! I am also planning some door decor for our stay, also with LGMH. I have read some awesome ideas here, and can't wait to try some out. I'm waiting to have a large batch before soaking them off their restrictive backings. My LGMHPCs are yearning to breathe free!

i have to share this with you guys. so the other day im out at a bar for kareoke and a friend of mine and i are talking about how im going to disney in july. she asked me if i knew about this certain mickey paint color that people take from the depot. i said no why . she said i work there and this one color goes missing all the time and that depot said it has something to do with bring it down and getting something. i said i have never heard of that. mean while im the one that is taking from that same store 20 here 40 there. so anyway yesterday i go to a party and my sister says that said friend took 17 of them to give me for disney and try to find out what i get so i now have 80 of them in my hand. i now have an inside source

Home Depot has Disney paint. The color chips are Mickeys head. We all pick Lime green because that is our color here on the DIS.

I hope that is right...LOL!! That is what I have always thought anyway!
BTW, what are you all putting on them. We are headed to Disney next year and would like to take a few.

the color is alien green from the depot. i put my user name and disboards on them then make it a card to put on my laynard, suitcase, backpack

You need to ask a very nice fellow DIS member to send you some. They are only paper. PM me with your address and I will send you some. It will mean another trip to HD, but I suppose I can make that sacrifice. But only if you ask really nice!

Ohhhhh that's what you are all talking about!!! I kept reading about wearing my "LGM" and was so totally clueless!!!

OFF to Home Depot I go hehehehehehehe. I still don't know what the three letters stand for though.

We may have a problem....I was reading in another thread here on the DIS that they are doing away with the Mickey Head paint chips and just doing regular ones in the future. Several DISers have confirmed that the old mickey heads are now gone. So run, don't walk if you want the chance at a few more. One DISer got all the "leftovers" after asking for them before they would hit the trash.
