I was watching some old home movies that my sister had put on videotape a few years ago. I came across the movie of my very first trip to Disneyland. I was 6 months old and every time the camera cut to me, I was laughing. The whole place apparently amused me immensely. Well, some things never change.
It was pretty funny to see that the riverboat ride had not changed that much since 1963. The monorails were dark blue and pointier at the ends than they are now. There's some great footage of my sister and grandfather on those hovercraft things--I have no idea what they're called but I've seen it in some of the old movies of DL.
So, that was my first trip to DL. I like to tell my mom that she started it all--she thinks it's weird that we go once or twice a year to WDW.
How old were you on your first visit to a Disney park?
