You absolutely must write a review of Surf's Up after your trip. We are considering that for July, and I would love to hear your opinion, or anyone else follwing this thread who has been to Surf's Up. Thanks.
But a lot of people have also said in passing that they like it. So I made the reservation anyways!!

Your plans are looking good, the only thing that caught my eye was the 11:30 Goofy's Kitchen time........did they say the characters would be there for your entire meal?? I know they take a break between the brunch & dinner services.....so with this being so late.....just wanted to make sure you're not just paying for the buffet. A call to Disney Dining to inquire might be in order just to make sure!!

He seriously said 1140 am was the latest brunch seating. I was a little surprised, so I just chose 1130 for the ressie, because I'd rater have a "half past" slot or an "o'clock" slot if you know what I mean 
Just a little easier to remember. And I don't want to make the reservation any earlier because I don't want to get frazzled about leaving so quickly in the morning. I'd rather take the short drive slowly, so DBF and I don't get into a quarrel (I'm an "on time" schedule type of person, and he's the "let's just go with the flow" type...opposites attract right?? 
) I really hope the characters stay and that the food is restocked. It would be a bummer to not have much of a choice and lack of characters And we don't want to change the day or time, because we'd rather not have to walk all the way back for dinner and we've got other reservations for the other days. So...here's to wishful thinking!!! And that takes out the stress of getting a FP on Saturday!!
Due to my lack of planning posts, I'll add to that with a generalized plan for the entire weekend. Nothing too specific...well sort of. I won't be saying which rides we plan on doing in which order, as we haven't figured that out either We'll just go with the flow. We usually just do two days at the parks, so with three days we can just relax and go at a nice, slow pace. When we had two days during Halloweentime in October, we actually fell asleep on each other waiting for the parade 
So having a room/bed to go back to will be heavenly 
Then we will head over to the apartment to drop off all of his luggage and we're gonna then head to the ocean which is 10 minutes away and go to Joe's Crab Shack. I'm not sure if I mentioned this already, but I had promised DBF that we would go to Joe's Crab Shack when I was back visiting in Sacramento a month ago or so, but I got some pretty devastating news and I just couldn't find the time to go during my short stay So, when he dropped me off at the airport, I PROMISED promised that we would go when he was down here And it'll probably be better down here anyways 
Ok, so back on track, once we're done with dinner, we're gonna go back to the apartment, watch a movie (Going the Distance, DBFs choice because he saw it awhile back and he decided it reminded him of us as long as the ending is happy, I'm good!! ), and I'll finally pack my bag while DBF probably looks through his surprise cup thing Then it's off to bed, because I've got an early day with class in the morning and DL the rest of the day!! 
Then that night will probably be Magic, the Memories and You, fireworks and maybe F! We haven't really discussed that 
But before we even think about that, we have reservations at Surf's Up at 7 am. I think this is what I'm most excited for Then the rest of the days will be spent leisurely in the parks, just enjoying each others company 
His plane doesn't leave until about 930 pm, thankfully, so we will squeeze out as much time as we can. Then it's bon voyage for now!! 
No tears this time though, as I'll be back in Sacramento the next weekend for my best friend's mom's surprise 50th birthday party!! 
And then...I'll be done with finals and I'll be driving all the way back to Sacramento from OC all by lonesome 
4 days!!!! 4 days for me too!!!!
I think your plan looks great!! I NEVER plan out rides....other than trying to do Peter Pan first with the family.....we always just go with the flow. Plan out some sit down meals, certain days to catch entertainment & that's it. No stress, no worries!!
Enjoy your weekend!! Who know's you might even spot me.....I'll be with the crazy bunch of ladies!! If you see us, stop by & introduce yourself!!!
But other than that, we don't ever have a plan, but usually follow the same path each time. And you'll probably be able to spot me because I'll most likely be wearing my Maleficent horns or my Dale hat 
Yeah our first ride is usually Space Mtn in DL and TSMM in CA
I was going to be on the outlook for your big group of ladies!!! I'm sure you guys won't be too hard to spot since I'm sure there are so many of you all

Well if they're all matching or at least color coordinated, they should be pretty easy to spot
And I can barely wait!!! Thankfully I only have two classes today, because I'm pretty sure if I had anymore, I'd go and play hookey 
nothing exciting, but still, I'm just overwhelmingly excited to see him. And I'm also giving him his surprise tonight...or should I do it tomorrow morning?? GAH 
Confusion is setting in!!! I can barely keep a surprise secret normally, so I'm just proud that I've gone this long without telling him So I think before we start the movie tonight, I'll have him open it. Did I mention I was excited?!?!?! Because I definitely am!!
Very, very sad. But, it was the most AMAZING time and I couldn't have asked for anything better Except for what is going on right now....
Of course...my camera is cheap, and in all reality, it's time for a reasonable upgrade So when my camera was freaking out during the trip, I wasn't all too concerned as it is usually just annoying and I can't zoom in and blah blah blah. But when I finally got the camera working nicely and not shutting off when I wanted it to stay on, it decided that all of my photo files were "unrecognizable" and that's when I started worrying 
And then when I attempted to upload all the photos from my memory card, my computer couldn't even recognize my mini memory card reader USB A travesty. So, I'm using PhotoRec to recover the pictures, and hopefully everything comes out well!! Or else this will be a very boring, pictureless TR
after the GCH surprise, I'm pretty sure his favorite thing was the magic towel As soon as he was done with this period of shock, he ran into the bathroom and saw the magic towel, well....do it's magic It was great!! And he spent alot of time in the shops at DLR looking for more magic towels
