My Verizon LG EnV touch just died!

The Droid Apps store is the "Marketplace" button on your phone. It took me a while to figure that out because I was looking for something called "Apps" :lmao:

Thanks everyone!
I wish I could wait until Feb for the Iphone, but I really need a phone now! I'm going to head over to a Verizon store tmr with DH and check out a few phones. He read good reviews on the "Droid Incredible"....so we'll see! :thumbsup2

Do you have an old phone that you can activate just to get by with for the next few weeks?

I have an EnVTouch, and I've been having LOTS of issues with it for months...the screen locks up sometimes, but more often it just randomly turns itself off...8 or 10 times a day. How much good is a cell phone if nobody can ever get a hold of you because the darn thing turns itself off all the time?? (and no, not because of low battery)

My husband has been pushing me to get an Android Phone for a while, and I've been back and forth about it for a long time, and keep procrastinating because I'd really rather have an iphone, and I kept hoping that we'd get the iphone announcement...so I'm waiting until Feb 10th when I can get the iphone. I've decided to go with the iphone because I already know how to work my itouch, and it will be easier than learning to use the droid.

My Husband has a Motorola Droid (I guess now you'd have to get a Droid2) and he didn't like it much at first, it was tricky to learn to use he said, but now he LOVES it.

I had that same problem with my LG EnV touch too!! So frustrating waiting for a call just to find out the phone was off!! :headache: My daughter still has hers and can't wait until April when she can upgrade!

I am enjoying my Droid X...and learning something new everyday! Found out a friend of mine has one also so we'll be comparing notes!!:thumbsup2

While we were at the Verizon store the salesman did make a couple comments regarding the Iphone coming out next month. I'm wondering if anyone else has heard this info:
If there's a problem with the Iphone you have to take it to an Apple dealer...Verizon can't help you.
Also, if the battery dies...you cannot replace it, you will have to get a new phone. Not sure how that works and if there's a warranty for that...I would guess probably so.
Anyway, thought I'd share.:)

I switched from the BlackBerry Curve to the Samsung Android Epic a few weeks ago. I LOVE THIS PHONE! The virtual keyboard is really cool. I'm getting used to the "swipe" feature just swipe your fingers across the keyboard and it spells the word your looking for. I'm learning something new everyday! The Marketplace is really fun and alot of the necessary apps are free! Have fun!:cool1:

I have an EnV Touch and it does the same thing. I was going to bring it back and get a new one but I'm eligible for an upgrade next month so I'm just going to get an Android phone.

That's the terms that AT&T had, too, I think. I'm not worried about those things, we've had a number of Ipods in the past and there wasn't an issue (and we have a couple of apple stores not very far from us). I'll get the insurance on it and won't be stressing at all. But thanks for the heads up, not everyone is aware of those things, probably.

DH currently has the Curve....he can't wait to get the Droid! LOL!! I played with the "swipe" feature today...pretty neat! I also tried "voice input" to dictate a text....makes MY life easier as I'm having difficulty typing with fingertips!:thumbsup2
