Hi. I'm hoping someone can help me out--I am planning a trip to England--landing in Manchester May 17--we will be based in the Crewe/Nantwich area. We are planning a trip into London--I am looking for a tour(2 days only) including train/coach and hotel--ideally I would like a sight seeing tour included but otherwise hotel and train would do. I need the name of some tour companies that I could contact. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Kathy

Just wanted to say Hi Kathy:wave2: , can't really help with the tour company but wanted to say hi from Crewe!!!, have you ever visited Chester?

I'd recommend SuperBreak. They're a tour company over here in the UK that do specialist trips to London. They usual consist of trips to the theatre to see a show combined in with a London hotel. You can usually get a good central location in London with them also.

They offer other things also, like trips on the London Eye (great to get a birdseye view of the city) and usually have a few restaurants that you can book through them too.

PM me if you need the weblink, as I don't think I can post it here :)

You don't need to book a tour in advance. London has a lot of tour companies. They all have open top buses that visit all the top locations and they do a hop on/hop off service so you buy a ticket for the day, then stay on the bus when you want and get off at which ever tourist spots interest you.

Here are a couple of examples:

Thanks everyone--I have checked superbreaks and so far it looks like that's who I'm going with. I had tried Newmarket tours who had a great weekend deal but it isn't running the weekend I'm in England. I have never been to England and hope to see as much as possible in the 10 days I'm there--I am going to Chester for the day, Staleybridge(the town where my mother-in-law came from), Stonehenge,Bath and Salisbury, Liverpool(my son is a big fan of Peter Crouch-even though he's not joining us), London and Wales--we will be busy but the people we are staying with seem up for the role of tour guide. I am so looking forward to it.

That sounds fantastic, you've got a great trip planned there by the looks of it! Coming up to Liverpool also, good time to vist, it's Captial of Culture in 2008 :) There'll be plenty going on!

Superbreaks are very reliable, as are the bus companies that where mentioned. They do great tours around London!
