My trip to DLR, stayed at DLH..wasn't really pleased..

That coffee thing happens at PPH too, but after the first day, it wasn't an issue, all regular was left, no decaf.

You said PPH is nothing to brag about. Did you have a view of WOC? Perhaps this is what makes this hotel.

We actually did have a view of WOC at PPH. We were on the 3rd floor on the front so we could "see" it and did enjoy it. What I meant when I said it wasn't anything to brag about is that it is an ok room but it was about the what I would expect staying at a room at the Fairfield or any other non disney hotel. The perks were nice (magic morning, the view of the fireworks from the pool). Actually if I were picking between GCH and PPH, I would stay at PPH because it is cheaper and it is just across the street from GCH. I really do think the walk from PPH to DL was less then our walk from our room at GCH to DL. Luckily we discovered that the fire escape at the end of our hall at GCH dumped us out in the monorail courtyard right next to the entrance to DTD. Saved us a lot of walking in the mornings when heading to DL.

I forget that I've only stayed in a suite there. They are nice, and quite big, which is great with so many of us. We were on the 15th floor and we really enjoyed the view. For staying on property, it seems to be the best bang for our "big family" buck.

That's too bad didn't like it. I was blown away with how beautiful the new rooms were and loved every second I spent there.

It is pretty apparent that your statement is true, but you could just change it to:

For every person who just LOVES any Anaheim Hotel, there's a person who doesn't care for it at all.

I think we are going to try numerous hotels this year so we can get an idea for our go-to places depending on budget. I so far have the extremes covered, having stayed at Grand Calif. on one trip and Hotel Menage the other. The trip next week will be HoJo on the ENT rate.

I am sorry you had a bad experience, OP. I do want to try the DL Hotel someday, but will definitely wait until construction is done before we do.

Ooh, let me know how you like the HoJo, we are going in early November and staying there, we have never stayed there before! Have fun!!!

Thanks everyone for their responses..I got some really good info/feedback.

As for the laundry problem..we ran out of clothes because we also spent 3 days prior in another area of CA for my husbands cousins wedding..we took plenty of clothes but my 3 yo ran out of clean pants/undies (she's semi potty trained) and my husband changes his undershirts 2x a day!

I actually have been lurking on disboards! I don't know why I didn't figure this out. I guess I should have asked and posted..

Like others said, for the price paid, i didn't feel like i got my money's worth. It still was a trip to disney and we did have a good time. We are still planning on taking dd to WDW..but not right now.. but when that time comes i know what to ask!!
