Okay so I recently returned from a quick trip to Florida. I was going for two reasons: work and leisure. There was a seminar or something-type thing in Orlando for one of my jobs and of course it was the perfect excuse to go to Disney World, but none of my friends who were going wanted to go to the parks. THE LOSERS! So I went alone, which was EXCELLENT! I was a bit nervous, but it turned out excellent. Stayed at Saratoga Springs, which also turned out excellent (I was a bit disappointed due to the fact it is so far away from the parks).

beautiful resort....BIG resort!

SO first order of business (of course), MAGIC KINGDOM!!

I love the lamps in the Magic Kingdom...they're so tall and elegant.

The next day I went to the Studios which was fun and quick, then I went to Epcot where I met up with TJM who showed me a very fun time, THANKS DUDE!

Spaceship Earth is an actual ride...and a VERY awesome ride at that!

The next day I went to Animal Kingdom for one reason:

EVEREST!

I waited in line for 25 minutes, not bad, but then discovered the Single Riders line...:yay:

Then it was back to the Magic Kingdom where I visited Wilderness Lodge and went on a nature walk through a SWAMP!

It was SO great...like being in the beginning of Pirates (the one here in Cali)
That evening I discovered a Tropical Depression...and was stuck in the Plaza for about 40 minutes cuz it was downpouring...

then on my way to the Epcot monorail and I was trying to get a good night pic of the train station and ended up getting this...

awful picture, but SO cool!

So i went on a lot during EMH at Epcot...the next morning it was checkout and off to the seminar...but when I got there the people at th door were going to CHARGE me $80 to get in...WHAT THE HECK?!?!?! Eighty bucks to listen to people talk about how much money they make selling frikken knives. I said "NO WAY!" and got my driver to take me back to the resort where the concierge helped extend my hopper tickets for one more day (since it was only 9:30!!!!) So i went to MK again and Epcot to do some shopping for the frirends back home...and I got one last pic...

:thumbsup2Good for you!

Sounds like a very productive trip, even if not for business purposes! :thumbsup2 I'm starting to think going to the parks alone can be really nice. I'm here with my friend best friend from college who now lives in Orlando. There have been a few times where I wish I was on my own. It's nice to be able to do what you want, when you want, at your own pace and not have anyone else complain. Guess I'm too used to being antisocial.

I don't think it's antisocial...I think it's normal if people to want alone time once in a while.

Sounds like you had fun!! nice pics too :)

for my 40th Bday in 2002 my BF Lynn and SIL Carlene went to WDW and each day we started out together but by 12p we would split up and meet up again for supper or end up at the resort pool.

It was almost the most fun I have ever had at WDW(being on my own) next to my absolute favorite thing being with someone who has never been to WDW - LOVE to see the excitement and Magic through new eyes:cool1:

Thanks for sharing :thumbsup2

Hey Sir Jeff!!

Glad you had a great time! We stayed at SSR and loved it, yeah it's a huge and a little far away from everything, love it that its close to DTD. It's kind of cool that it's not really themed like the other places....some folks like that.

Thanks SO much for posting your pics. I LOVE to hear about everyone's trips and look at the amazing pics! ;)

I did a three day solo trip to the world and had a great time. I'm normally not a very extroverted person, but I did chat with a lot of people that trip. This was way before they had the single rider line, so the CMs would do a double take when they asked how many in my party and I would say "one." I would do it again (if I could get away with it, now that I have two kids).
