I've been reading these boards for a while and decided it was time to sign up so I could share my trip report and pictures with everyone. :)

Normally my mom and I fly down to southern California since it's only an hour by plane, but this year we decided to drive. We left early on Sunday morning, June 17.

We took I-5 the whole way and we were there in about seven hours.

On our first two trips we stayed at the Disneyland Hotel. This year we chose the Paradise Pier Hotel, which is just as nice and not quite as expensive.

The view from our room was amazing.

And here is our hotel room:

A Mickey lamp. His nose was broken off.

After resting in the room for a while, we walked around Downtown Disney. I bought a stuffed graduation Mickey and 07 Grad antenna topper at World of Disney. For dinner we decided to go to PCH Grill and take our food back to the room.

On the left was my dinner, pasta. My mom had the Skinny Melt with a turkey patty, pictured on the right.

Up next: My day at Disneyland!

On Monday morning we headed over to Disneyland after purchasing our two day park hopper tickets. We went on Peter Pan's Flight first, which had a thirty minute wait. Next we headed over to Pinocchio's Daring Journey with no wait at all. Then we stood in line for forty minutes for Alice in Wonderland. Our last ride in Fantasyland was Small World with a fifteen minute wait. By this time it was almost eleven o'clock, so we walked over to the Refreshment Corner on Main Street.

For lunch we had hot dogs with potato chips. It was so good.

After we finished eating we decided to get in line for Indiana Jones which had a forty-five minute wait. It turned out to be close to an hour wait since the ride was closed down for a while. Next we went over to New Orleans Square and rode Pirates of the Caribbean, followed by The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. By this time we were starting to get hungry, so we went to buy some snacks. My mom had a chocolate covered banana and I chose a Mickey ice cream bar.

That night we walked over to Storytellers Cafe for dinner.

We went back into Disneyland that night and went on the Haunted Mansion and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh again. I didn't take too many pictures on Disneyland since I already had so many from previous trips, but I did take a few pictures at night.

PPHGarage.jpg

This is on the side of the Paradise Pier Hotel parking garage. During the day it just looks like a surf board, but at night you can see Goofy lit up on it.

Next: California Adventure.

On Tuesday we went to California Adventure since we had never been there.

After walking around and looking in some stores, we went over to the Golden Vine Winery for lunch.

TuesdayLunch.jpg

I had chicken with fruit and my mom had the Chicken Bruschetta Salad.

After lunch we went over to Disneyland and rode Small World again. It was getting pretty hot out, so we went back to the room to rest. We came back for dinner and had hot dogs again. Soon after we ate the parade started, so we found a good seat outside of City Hall to watch. Then we went back to the hotel since we were leaving on Wednesday and wanted to get to bed early.

On Wednesday morning we headed downstairs to PCH Grill for our complementary breakfast.
Pancakes.jpg

I had Mickey Mouse pancakes.

Waffle.jpg

My mom had a Mickey Mouse waffle.

It was awhile before any characters came over to our table. I quickly saw Lilo when we walked in, and Stitch was leading a conga line around the restaurant. Halfway through our meal though Minnie and Daisy came over for pictures. Once we finished our breakfast we checked out and drove home.

I hope everyone enjoyed my report and pictures. :cool1:

Great pics. :thumbsup2

It was neat seeing Goofy "hanging ten" at night. :rotfl:

Also neat to see the CA pics. The park looked empty.

Post more if you have them. We also stayed at the PP 3 weeks ago.

Thanks for posting. :hippie:

I loved seeing Goofy on the surf board too. :) Yes, California Adventure was really empty when we were there. We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. :thumbsup2

I love your pictures, great report. How long did it take you to walk to DL and DCA from your room at PP? Did you walk through DTD or cut through the GCH?

Those photos rock! I really like the coming into Anaheim shots (made me feel that good old excitement), and also the pictures of/from your hotel room. We stayed at PP for our two trips, and we loved it there. Your view was similar to the one we had on our first trip.

More, please!:flower3:

Thanks. :) It was actually really quick to walk from our hotel into Downtown Disney and Disneyland. From Paradise Pier it only took about five minutes to reach the end of Downtown Disney where Compass Books Cafe is. It's really not far at all. Then it took about ten minutes or so to walk all the way down Downtown Disney and reach the entrances of Disneyland and California Adventure. :goodvibes We never cut through GCH since I wasn't sure where the entrance to the park was through there.

Thanks! :cloud9: I loved the Paradise Pier as well and was amazed at the view we had from our room. I'm definitely staying there on my next trip to Disneyland. Oh, and my digital camera is a Kodak EasyShare CX7430. It's very easy to use and takes great pictures. You can even record videos on it. :dance3:

I'm sorry, I don't have any more pictures of Disneyland or California Adventure. The only other pictures I have are of the gas stations we stopped at. I doubt anyone would want to look at those. This was our first time driving to Disneyland and I was just so excited that I took a picture of everything along the way, including the public restrooms. :rotfl:

Love your pics! They brought back happy memories of my trip to DL and DCA.
