In february my family( Mom Dad and 9 year old brother) and I went on a vacation to Orlando. I'm only writing this now because I was always too busy with homework to do this.

Day 1: We woke up early in the morning to get on our flight from Canada. We got in a taxi to the airport. There was a huge line at American customs, therefore we were delayed. Our flight took off an hour late. We arrived at around 12:30 and we were picked up by a van shuttle and taken to Hard Rock Hotel. The hotel was gorgeous. We got a free upgrade to a pool view room. Our plans had been to stay at the royal pacific for 3 nights but when we were booking all but the club rooms were reserved for a conference. I was happy we stayed in HRH instead. We quickly checked out our room and walked to IOA.

Tell us more...did you go to the Magic Kingdom? Hope you had a wonderful time.

We went to eat at three broomsticks and I ate the rotisserie chicken, which was good. My mom and brother tried the butterbeer- my mom liked both the frozen and regular but my brother didn't like them. i decided not to try.
From there we went to Seussland. We started with high in the sky trolley- it was fun but a bit boring. Next we went to One fish 2 fish- we got soaked but it was warm and we dried quickly. we went on the carousel- it was ok but i got dizzy as I usually do on rides that go around in circles. Cat in the hat ride was one of my favourites but my brother was very scared.
We left seussland and headed to Stormforce accelatron. i sat in my own cup and my brother tried to do the same but another family with a young child joined him and didn't let him go fast. i hardly got dizzy on this ride.
We saw part of the superhero parade-none of us really liked it. Unfortunately, Spiderman was closed during the time we were there- my mom was disappointed and so was I.
We headed to Poseidon's fury- the wait even with express was over an hour- we enjoyed it but i didn't feel it was worth the wait.
Pteranodon flyers was next- the wait was 30 minutes which is good for that ride. i liked the ride a lot but it lasted only 70 secs. Not really worth the wait.
We decided to head back to Harry Potter Land- we were thrilled to see there was only a 5 minute wait for forbidden journey. we child swapped my brother who was too scared to ride and i got to go twice, once with my mom, once with dad. I loved it but my dad got a bit woozy and had to sit for a while. My brother and i went on flight of the hippogriff 3 times. at first it was scary but then i got used to it and really liked it.
We walked to citywalk and ate at Pastamore- it was my favourite restaurant the whole trip. the baked pasta with cheese from the kid's buffet was delicious. we took a boat back to our hotel and went to sleep- it was an awesome 1st day.
I will add pictures soon.

we woke up early to get early entry to IOA. We picked up a quick breakfast at Emack and Bolio's and sat outside to eat. We walked to IOA and got into line. I had trouble with the finger scan- the ticket taker couldn't believe I needed an adult ticket because I am really small for my age. We rushed to Ollivander's and got in for the 1st show. Unfortunately, the man did not pick me. Afterwards, my brother and I chose wands and had them sent back to our hotel. My mom and I did Forbidden Journey again. At the gift store, i bought a stuffed Hedwig the owl and my brother got the hippogriff. we were so excited. my brother and I went on flight of the hippogriff a few more times and then we( My father, brother and I) got changed into our bathing suits and went on Dudley Do Right Ripsaw Falls three times. That was my favorite ride the whole vacation. We didn't even have to exit to repeat ride but my mom was freaking out because she didn't know why we didn't come back for so long. We then moved on to Popeye's bilge raftride. the poor people who were not prepared to get soaked- everyone was drenched by the end. My mother sprayed us from the popeye and olive oyl boat. next up was jurassic park- my friends had told me it was the best ride ever and so I convinced my mom to come- bad idea. that last fall is pretty steep and we all felt like we were going to fall out of the boat. For some reason, even though I didn't really enjoy it, I did it a second time with just my dad. We played for awhile in the jurassic play area and then changed into regular clothes. we checked out the discovery center. it was not as fun as i had hoped- we did get to see a dinosaur hatch but it didn't seem realistic. We had a delicious meal at Mythos. After lunch, we saw the sindbad stunt show. it was good.
we headed back to the hotel and spent the afternoon at the pool, mainly going on the waterslide. there is music under the water which was pretty cool.We had dinner at The Kitchen and met Scooby Doo and Shrek. Overall, a really fun day.

the crowds were quite low in February at universal. We were there the week before president's weekend. :rotfl2::cool1:

Day 3 was our first in the studios. We grabbed a fast breakfast downstairs at Emack and Bolios and then walked to Universal. We had planned on starting at the Simpsons but we were early and were limited to one area on the main street so we decided to see Shrek- Rip ride rockit was also open but no way we were trying it. Shrek was fun but somewhat more lame than i expected. From there we went to the Simpsons- it was great. my whole family enjoyed it but my DB9 absolutely adored it. It was his favourite ride of the whole trip. we went on it 4 times- by the 4th I felt a bit woozy.
Next up was MIB- also really fun. i was not very good at racking up the points but my mom was surprisingly good- she had been reading these boards and had gotten some good tips. We went on it twice( our express passes were great)
Next up was ET. I was looking forward to it because i really liked the movie but was disappointed- it seemed very old fashioned. We experienced Twister next- it was cool to see the effects but i hadn't seen the movie. We walked to Disaster which was ok- we weren't chosen for any of the roles. i liked the subway scene at the end.
We had a really good lunch at Lombard's seafood grille. My parents absolutely loved it there.
from lunch, i decided to try Revenge of the Mummy- I went with my dad because my mom and bro were too scared. It is an amazing ride- the atmosphere was fun and the ride is not to be missed. We went twice.
We saw Beetlejuice- it was really lively and fun. Terminator 2 was next- it was cool to see the way it was partly film and partly live characters.
We ended the day at Animal Actors- i adore animals so was really excited- it was good but not great. One of the dogs refused to participate. i really liked the orangutan- sooo cute.
We had dinner at Margaritaville in City walk- really nice place and fun- they had some people on stilts making balloon animals for all the kids- i got a teddy bear.My DB9 got a sword. Then back to HRH for our last night.
