Hi

I'm still trying to get some cheap flights from Manchester to Orlando. I can get a My Travel Fly Drive deal (excl insurances) for £1576. Its cheaper to arrange car hire independently rather than take their insurance upgrade :confused3

Anyway - a couple of questions:

Can you book a fly-drive and then just not pick up the car? Will we get penalised for this?

Also what are "My Travel" flights like? I think we flew with them a few years ago and they had seat back tvs etc. Has anyone flown with them recently?

We have flown twice to Orlando with Mytravel, once in Premiair Gold once in economy and both flights were fine. No delays reasonable food, good cabin crew and entertainment with seat back TVs, I would use them again no problem if the price was right.

Last summer we did exactly as you describe, booked a hire car independently and just didn't pick up the one that came with the fly-drive. It was no problem, we just told the rep who met us at the airport that we had changed our plans.

I have flown My Travel a number of times, a couple in Preimum gold and a couple in Economy, Only once did we not have seat back TV's and that was on a flight from out local airport rather than one of the biggies, Gatwick, Manchester etc, so I imagine it may have been a smaller plane, also we once booked with My Travel but ended up on a Monarch Aircraft, which I believe My Travel do use on occasions.

The flights have always been on time, reasonable food and a smooth flight :goodvibes

Thanks Guys.

Any idea what the leg room is like on their standard seats?

I think the leg room for my travel is 28 inches :sunny:

same as everyone else here
good flights

but one time when we were delayed 5 hours and knew we were going to miss our connecting flights (not booked with them ) They did not want to know and were NO way helpfull at all

it was our tough luck

Is Monarch Aircraft not a part of My travel

I flew with MyTravel last September, and didn't have any problems.

My only complaint would be that the plane was very uncomfortable, and judging by the squirming people around me, I wasn't the only one who thought so. Take a small cushion for your back, this made the flight back infinitely more bareable.

The leg room's not huge, but they did have a nice arrangement where the toilets were in a downstairs area, so you got a good chance to walk around.
