My brother and I have the exact same toaster. We both got ours at Target (he actually talked me into getting it). It's about $25 and has so many little buttons that I don't really need but I admit I have used them all. I love it because it beeps just before the toast comes up and that is nice to be able to actually hear a beep when it is done.
I personally think that the waffle option works nicely (as does the bagel option). My waffles came out nice and toasted without being burnt. I have found though that on this one, they allow the toast & other items to get really dark and I like mine golden so I set this to about a 3 or a 4 out of 7 settings and it comes out great.
I have a toaster that has been going since 1954. It's a Sunbeam. My great-aunt used it at her ranch house for many years. My MIL gave me a new one she had won, but it is stored in a cabinet.
Well, I got a new toaster tonight but it wasn't what I thought I would get. I tried 5 different stores around here and no one sells Sunbeam. I thought it was strange that when I used the link that Helenabear gave me for the store locator it said sorry no matches for your area. I have certainly heard of Sunbeam. I ended up with a T-Fal Avante.
