Being an NTL/Virgin customer no Bones or Rescue Me for me tonight, Sky have pulled the plug! and what am I to do about 24 :sad1:

I don't watch a lot of TV but now I can't even watch the few good programmes I like:confused3

They've been behaving worse than a pair of school kids, taking out adverts in the paper blaming each other and frankly I don't really care whose at fault I just want to knock their heads together

I don't know much about this situation. What I've seen on the news Sky/NTLVirgin appear to be acting like school children fighting over who's ball it is. What about the poor customer, no one seems to be bothering about them.

I wonder if you will get any compensation for the time you are without a service. Doesn't do you much good for the programmes that you will miss.

This could rumble on and on I reckon. I think Virgin will dig their heels in, and unless they get a shed load of complaints will not budge.

If Virgin try waiting it out, Sky may open talks again to try and get back the advertising they'll be losing.

Unfortunately, the man on the street will be the ones left in the middle and missing the channels!

Can you change to Sky???

I love Rescue Me and NIP/TUCK and would be LOST without it ;)

I totally agree! Murdoch vs Branson? I don't see either of them caving in easily.

Kaylee, that was DH's first reaction but I point blank refuse. Changing to Sky, in my opinion, is playing right into their hands. I'm just not going to do it. Frankly I'd rather just get rid and stuff the both of them. DDs would miss the Disney Channel and yes I would miss my programmes but we'd get used to it and if I didn't buy the Satellite Mag I'd probably not even know they were on. Like giving up anything, it'll be tough at first but we'll survive;)

Fair enough Annmarie :) You could always look at the spoilers and then you will know what happened before we do!

I agree Annmarie, I must be the only person in the UK who doesn't have cable/sky/digital and I don't ever want it! I have four channels of crap, I don't need four hundred!

totally agree, sky's pricing is way over the top

We've got Sky (only because we can't get cable in our area) and yet I am with Virgin on this one. If you quit and sign up with Sky you are doing exactly what they want.

Virgin have made the situation clear. If they sign the deal with Sky, you - the customers - will pay for it in higher subscriptions. Doesn't seem fair to me. Sky have been exploiting their monopolistic position for long enough, something needs to be done about it.
