My thoughts on terrorism

As I sit here and watch the various shows about 9/11, I can’t help but think...there are people out there who want to kill us, and they will do anything and everything possible to make that happen. This was evident on 9/11 when they used airplanes as missiles, killing 1000’s. This is also evident when terrorists use home made bombs and detonated them in crowded market places killing innocent women and children. And I know that we, as Americans, should take the moral high ground and conduct this war by the rules, but you what...I wish we wouldn't; but we are and I must live with that. You know, there is one thing that I don't live with, and that is fear. I have a warning for all future terrorists, plane hijackers or what ever; don't ever try anything stupid on a plane I'm on. If someone jumps up and starts yelling, “This is a hijacking…” I’ll be right there behind you, and I’m not going to be asking for your name. And because this is a family friendly site, I'll leave the rest to the imagination.

Why have I posted this? Because I’m just an American who took a moment to think of the friend I lost on 9/11. Because I’m just an American who took a moment to think of the families who lost loved one’s on that fateful day. Because I’m just an American who thought of the children who lost a mom or dad that day and will grow up never having known them. Because I’m just an American who’s voicing his opinion and who doesn’t care what people may think. So go a head and flame me if you will…because I don’t care. And may God continue to help those who lost loved ones on 9/11, you will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

No flames from me. I'm the grand niece of one of those lost on a plane, and I wish we could collect all the known terrorists and would be terrorists, stick them on a plane and drive that sucker into the ground. See how they like it. And really, even that is too good for them

Thanks guys. I watched "Flight 93" last night and by the time the movie was over I was really mad (dis friendly version), and then I stopped on the History Channel and say another show on 9/11 and got mad all over again. Tomorrow's going to be a real tough day.

I meant that being HATED is nothing new to me. It might shock YOU but hey, it's something I've lived with all of my life. Fight? Heck I fight like an animal if I'm confronted but as for having a group of people who are out there concerned about nothing but hatred for me.... no big deal. I've learned that I, myself, have very little control over what others feel. We have to live our lives regardless.

I've noticed the pilots coming into First Class a lot post 9/11 - and I'm sure it's so they can take "a look" at the passengers. I check people out too when I get on a plane. I don't think it could ever happen again - I think men on the plane would take the plane down like Flight 93 before they allowed terrorists to fly a plane into a building again. Those first victims on those planes though... had no idea of their fate that day.

I'm sorry you grew up being hated, and I think I know why, which is wrong. But like you, I don't care if someone hates me, I personally could give a rats behind if you do...it's when you want to kill me that I have a problem. And in this day and age of terrorism I am not on the constant look out for anything suspiscious.
