My thoughts and smiles from Dis Con..

Dis-Con....gotta love it when that time of year roles around! My work schedule kept me from being among the "Official" Dis-Con group I still managed to have a ball.

Here are a few highlights for me......

Getting to meet so many Dis folks....Some old friends.....some new ones....My first appearance was Thursday night for DATW...Being a NON DRINKER I decided to just stick with a "harmless Frozen Magarita" from Mexico... Maybe if I had stuck to one....well that's another story....

We had a HUGE group...I think most everybody was there. JayPD was this years host and somehow I ended up the keeper of Sponge Dude for the night... After only about an hour the Orlando skies opened up..... Once the rain let up enough,and I got ANOTHER drink from Mexico, (That makes 2) everyone headed to Kimono's to drink more and eat bait! Sorry folks...but I'm just like Terry Bradshaw on t.v. Where I come from that stuff is bait!! :eek

Got there and grabbed a table with VickyBaby and PandyPaws right in the middle of the room. Very soon after the room was full of Dis'ers!! John Crissup and Carol joined us at some point during the night. I think it was between Margarita # 3 and #4 !

I've been talking to John for probably 3 years and had never met him until that night. He and Carol are great fun. Some DIs'ers ACTUALLY have singing talent! Or was it the drinks??
After drink # 5 and most of #4 of Pandy's I figured it was time to stumble my tail out of there before Vicky got me on stage to sing. :eek That would NOT have been pretty! For a non-drinker I think I reached my limit when I realized I was lost coming out of the bathroom! It was right across the hall from Kimono's!! Yep TVT...you need to call a cab pal!

Friday....COLD, COLD day in WDW!
This was the Illuminations Desert Party night. A special Thanks to Cathy for getting me in on short notice. It was COLD!!! I guess I have forgotten how to dress in layers since I moved here. Most folks down here think dressing in layers is a Polo shirt and a light jacket that you lay'er across your arm for the day. I had more clothes on at one time that night than I have had on since leaving Tennessee!!! :eek

Other than the cold...it was beautiful......

This takes us to Sunday and a lot of laughs....
We are all going to MVMCP tonight. But first we all head to Chef Mickey's for dinner. I think we ended up with over 70 people that stormed Mickey and his pals for the buffet....

I think they had to send for more food folks! Do you know what a buffet table looks liike after 70 or so HUNGRY Dis'ers get finished with it?? Think of a Nebraska corn field after the 17 Year Locust get finished!!

Brent and his wife Judy joined our table for dinner. I hadn't seen Brent in about a year so we had some catching up to do. I did feel bad for Donna and Judy...Sitting at a dinner table and trying to eat with Brent and I acting up is not easy. There was alot of food spit across tables... I think Pandy spit a green been that bounced of off the monorail as it passed throught the hotel!!

We did have a ball! After dinner we walked to The Magic Kingdom for the party! It was great! Every ride was open !! Why they don't do E-Nights like this I don't understand!

So things have calmed down a bit now as most everyone has left and gone home. Yeah well except PANDYPAWS! I guess her month ain't up yet... It was truely a wonderful time....For those that missed it you have to try and get here for #3!

It was so good to see old friends and finally meet so many that I have known through the board and never met face to face...

Thank you all for allowing me to be part of this......It was a blast!

You got lost coming out of the bathroom???? ROFL!!!! Next time you had better stick to Coke! That was a fun night, and no, you were not wrong and it was not the alcohol, some DISers really DO have talent!

Has Donna applied for Florida Resident status yet?

I can happily say I am not one of the ones with talent...even in my state of happiness that night, I knew I stunk. I could not stop laughing the moment Ellen got on her kness to be Sonny Bono...and I thought I was a loon.


TVT, as always it is nice to see ya. I got to give you a MassaCuban hug. Do not feel bad though...you aren't the first to get lost coming out of that particular bathroom

It was indeed awesome to see you again Tony...my dad even asked if any of the people he got to meet were going to be there...he thinks that me meeting all these internet people is great!!!! And he really enjoyed meeting you guys when we were there last February!!!!

I was happy to get to meet you in person, finally, Tony! Kimono's was great, but I have had laryngitis ever since LOL!! Not from singing, but from trying to yell over the crowd, hehehe.

Pandy Paws still at WDW!?! Boy I am jealous! Snowy and cold here in New England today. Time to plan the next WDW trip which will be in conjunction with the DVC Member Cruise in February!

I had the most wonderful time meeting you. And I now know not to order Chips with Salsa at the Brew Pub on the Boardwalk (the salsa tasted like cold Ragu).

Additionally, I must say I am GLAD your plan to toss me into the lagoon did not materialize.

BTW, Tony smells REALLY good.
