My SSR trip :)

Thinking of doing a small live trip report. Some pretrip info. We (DW,DD8,DS6) are flying into Tampa well as of now the flight isn't cancelled. We should get in around 930am. Hope to be at SSR for my 4 night stay by 1130. I have 3 nights at the Double Tree from Sat to next Tues. Hopefully I'm updating this post in a few hours.

Late update
Flight out of ACY was just over 2 hours into Tampa. By the time I made it downstairs luggage was waiting. Used my blue chip Thrifty card loaded the Nuvi with the Mousesavers directions and I was on the road just before 11.
Everyone crashed in the car from getting up at 5 so I had a very peaceful ride. Made it into SSR at almost 12 on the nose. Weather is so so and will be for the next day or two but heck I'm in Disney. Check in was 5 minute process and we got Congress Park 1800 building. Room was ready which was a big plus. We just got back from lunch at Joe's Crab shack and did our Winn Dixie run. We're about to head out to Universal for a few hours and use the 7 day unlimited pass. Hope to give another update tonight.

Just got back from Islands of Adventure. None of the rides closed because of the rain and the park was absolutley empty. We were able to basically conquer the entire park in a little over 5 hours. I realize now that until my DD reaches 54" we will not go back there. She was seriously bummed watching dad walk onto Hulk and some other ride. We will go back there just to back track on everything but I can cross ot off the list off parks to be completed. We are planning on doing DHS in the morning unless the weather breaks being that alot of the rides there are inside. Kids are having a blast so far.
One thing I don't know when it changed. When did the DVD rentals at SSR move from the gift shop to the Carriage House? Didn't really matter anyway because every single DVD is out tonight anyway.

Just poked my head outside and at least it's not rainning yet.. Forecast looking like yesterday with on and off rain all day. We're shooting for rope drop at DHS. Plans are going to remain flexable today depending on what we get done this morning. Hoping to get on TSM for the first time today. Should be back in the room for lunch so I'll update this on how things are going.

Yes still raining off and on but no one complaint from anyone so far.

Walked into DHS at 858 and we were in the back for rope drop. Seemed like evreyone was heading straight to TSM. I went straight for fastpasses and the fam went to go wait. By the time I got FP's I caught up with them just entering the building. From there it was maybe 10 mins and all I can say this is now in my top 5 rides in WDW. We headed through the back of the animation store and got lucky for meet and greet. Alot of the characters due to be under the hat were hiding there today so we so quite a bit before the bad hair day is kicking in now. Did Playhouse Disney after and I found it entertaining since the change over from Bear in the Blue House days. DD and DW did the Caspian attraction then I ran over to get FP's RnRRC. TSM was down the alot of the morning but as we passed it had reopened and they honored our passes from this morning. I was 1000 short from getting my score for 3rd on the board of the day We decided to head back for lunch and took in Muppets 3D on the way out. The plans are to get back and FP Indian Jones and Star Tours as well as use the RnRRC from this morning. I guess everyone else had the same idea as us with the rain to head to a park with indoor rides because it seems a little crowded but not bad. More to come later..
