My son's comment on my weight loss

He's 9. Last night he was resting his head on my stomach watching TV, and he said, "mommy, your stomach isn't as smushy and comfortable as it used to be. I'm going to miss my fat mommy."

Nice sentiment sweetie, but I'm not going to miss her at all!!!

And he's not gonna miss her when you have more energy and ability to play with him and do activities with him!

P.S. I'm glad to hear he still cuddles up to you like that at 9. My DS is 6 and loves to cuddle. I'm dreading the day when he says he's too old for that!

That is certainly something that would come from a child. He may not have realized it, but what a wonderful thing for him to say. It should make you feel good that he has noticed.
