My son went Pro

My son officially went Pro as of yesterday . Why I have no idea . The UFC came calling and he signed . Why was I happier when he signed to wrestle after high school ?????
I hate that this is what he is doing , he comes from a normal family LOL
The guys at the Firehouse seem to be amused by it and the guys that work at the clinic with me love it ... me not so much

I know someone who signed up for that UFC reality show, the Ultimate Fighter. He was one tier away from making the show.

I thought he was crazy. Actually, I think all those guys are crazy.

You'll have to let us know when he fights so we can cheer him on.

Congratulations! I've been following MMA for years and I've never heard of anyone being seriously hurt. The UFC is especially safe, it is a top-notch operation, MMA is far safer than boxing, and I believe it is even safer than football. Good luck to your son!!! You should be very proud, this is quite an accomplishment!!!

One of the doctors that leads my small group in my medical school is actually one of the ring side docs for the UFC fights. He also does a lot of their physicals and a lot of the fighters from NY use him as their primary care doc. He tells us all these hilarious stories, about how so many of them seem so tough, but pour some peroxide on a scrape, and they go flying out of the room, and they can't hold them down. He tells us that's why he tries to see the fighters only after office hours, this way they have less of a chance of scaring off the little old ladies in the waiting room.

Hopefully your son will never need his services, but if he does, and he's in NY, he'll be in good hands.

My coworker's son is fighting for ufc, in fact he was on the Ultimate Fighter too. It just looks so painful, I can't watch it when dh and dbro order it on pay per view. That's when i come in the bedroom with the laptop.

I love the Ultimate Fighter show..I used to be a fan of WWE wrestling, then I started watching more UFC, and now I like it more. Only part of the show I hate is when they destroy that beautiful house.

the funny thing about this kid is that he has a CJ degree and is not old enough to be a cop yet . So this is what is doing to pass the time

He is teaching grappling at the MMA gym and still Refs HS wrestling but said he needed to do something on top of that .

He has been fighting alot in the states around TX . He should be on a pay per view next year . He is not doing the show though LOL he said he doesnt like drama he just wants to fight
