My son says goodbye to the Disney college program (with pic!)

Great picture. Glad to hear your son enjoyed the College Program, it's a once in a lifetime experience.

I did the CP as well (although it was 11 years ago) and loved it. Having Disney on your resume while catch the eye of any potential employer, it opened alot of doors for me when I got back. I ended up getting an internship at ESPN because of my experience at Disney, which turned into a very well paying job after college. Hopefully, it will help your son as well.

What a great looking kid!

Someone beat me to the punch, but having Disney on my resume sure opened a LOT of doors for me. Most employers know Disney was pretty picky about who they hire. It is like a stamp of approval.

For the other poster who has a daughter looking to get it, tell her to keep trying. I know the college program gets more applications than it can take.

I didn't make any college programs, so I just became a regular full-time CM at DL when I was in college.

Thanks for the compliment! Yes, I hope it opens alot of doors. I think already this upcoming internship, they liked that he worked for Disney, so it deinitely is a plus.

Wow! I can't believe he is done already (I remember when you posted he was going down to FL). I'm glad he had a good time on the CP. I am so excited to be going down to do my own CP in Aug (also in Attractions).

And I love the picture! :)

Congrats to your son! He looks like he had a great time! I did two CPs and I loved them both! It is a great experience regardless of your major in college and it is a great resume booster! :)

Wow he got to stay in Disney AND met a new girlfriend!! That's a win win for sure.

Did Pat live at Vista Way? my daughter is checking in August 12th and isn't sure where she wants to stay. Have heard good and bad about Vista Way

I lived at Vista one program and Chatham the second. Chatham is much nicer (in my opinion) than Vista yet I know many people who LOVED Vista. I have fond memories of both places though. Regardless of where you daughter lives, she'll have an amazing and wonderful experience! :)

My daughter is going to do this her final semester in college. She'll be there in January!

Congrats!!! Both my girls want to do the College Intern with Disney. One wants to act/sing and the other doesn't care as long as she is there. I can't wait. Only 3 more years of HS for one and 6 years of school left for the other.

It really all comes down to personal preference. I've stayed at Patterson once, and Chatham 4 times. I love Chatham, and hope to stay there again in Aug. But I'm sure no matter which one shes chooses, she will have fun.

Congrats to your DS! That is a smile all CMs should have! I am sure he did a ownderful job. As for the CP, I WISH someone had told me about it. I can live vicariously through my DCs, though.:rotfl2:

He truly looks thrilled to be there - so great that he had a wonderful time! I wonder if they take Canadian college kids? My step-DD would love to go, she's doing film studies... hmmm, think I'll suggest she look into it!

Definitely do it! It is so worth it!

I married my boyfriend from my CP! I know of two other married couples from my CP as well. It was a great place to find love!

Glad he had a wonderful experience!

What a great picture, Jill, thanks for sharing. Good to hear he had such a good experience. Wish I had been able to meet him while there. His smile is great!! :thumbsup2

I agree! He looks super happy! Congratulations.

I am also thinking my DD would LOVE to be a part of this. I suppose we should look to see what is required. She only has 3 more years of HS and wants to pursue something in theatre.

To do the CP, you just have to be 18+, have completed 1 semester in school, and be in good standing with your school.
